Teaching tasks:
1) Get students to learn some basic knowledge about USA.
2) Practise students’ ability of listening , such as predicting the answers, getting information quickly, retell the material in time of order.
3) Practise the usage of describing a place to improve students’ ability of communication.
Teaching Difficult Points:
1.How to improve the students’ listening ability.
2.How to help the students carry out the task of speaking.
Teaching procedures:
I Leading in
Task 1: Use some pictures to raise the students’ interests of USA.
Guess the name of the country
Task 2: Describe the location of USA in geography through a map of USA.
Task 3: Students’ presentation of USA. , ranging from its position, landscape, cities, rivers, weather to famous persons. To get students to know something about its basic knowledge.
