Step 2.Lead-in Ask the Ss some questions. What’s your favorite food I have some fruits here in a shop .(pictures on the screen) — What would you like (Help the Ss answer) — I’d like … . Answer the teacher’s questions and know the situation.Have dialogues with the teacher. To have the Ss to be involved in the lesson by giving personal reactions.
Step 3. Demonstration Pictures showing on the screen. And new words introducing: beef mutton chicken / cabbage potatoes tomatoes.Ask:—What kind of meat / vegetables would you like —I’d like… .More pictures showing on the screen to introduce different kinds of noodles. Ask:What would you like I’d like … .Would you like some… Yes, please./No, thanks. Look, read and learn the new words.Practice with the teacher.Look and know about noodles.Practice with the teacher. To learn the names of different types of noodles. To practice using the target language.
Another pictures showing to introduce :—What kind of noodles would he/she/they like —He/She/They would like…. Talk about the pictures by using the target languages To practice the target language in a controlled way.
Step 4. Read and match Ask the students to look at the picture and match the words with the foods. (1a) Then check their answers in pairs. Match the words with the pictures individually. Then check their answers in pairs. To recognize the words about the noodles they have just learnt.
Step 5. Listen and check Play the tape for the students to listen and check. (2b) Listen and check the right noodles. To feel the language in the right situation.
Step6.ChantGuide the Ss to chant. Look at the screen and chant together. To relax the Ss.
Step 7. Interview Ask the Ss to interview their classmates what they would like, then give their report. Interview some of their friends or classmates. To use the target languages and train the Ss’ ability of cooperation.
Step8. Order noodles First encourage the students to make a menu for School Noodle House. Then ask them to buy noodles there. Give their special noodles for School Noodles House. Then role play to buy noodles. To consolidate the target language.
Step 9. Just for fun.Pictures showing to talk about food cultures. Look and know about some food cultures. To enrich the class.
Step 10. Assignment Make a kind of noodles for your parents. Listen and remember Love parents, love life.
