Let the students find the friends for “ taller” “ easier” “ thinner” “ more beautiful”. The purpose of this step is to present the rules of the comparative degree.

Step Seven: How am I different
T: Everyone is different even though they are twins. We ourselves are different from before. Two years ago. You were a primary school student. You are taller now….

Step Eight: How is our city different
Everyone has great changes. Our city has great changes, too. Watch some pictures carefully and make clear how our city is different from before. Let the students say tell some differences about the city. e.g. The street is better, the houses are taller, the transportation is more convenient , the city is more beautiful.

Step Nine: Discussion What should we do to make our city more beautiful
T: It is our duty to make our city more beautiful. What should we do to make our city more beautiful
Discuss in a group of four, then report.
