Period 1 A Let’s learn Let’s play
Teaching Aims:
1. Three-skill sentences: Looat at the tiger. It’s running! The rabbit is jumping.
2. Four-skill participle phrases: flying, walking, running, jumping and swimming.
3. Cultivate the qualities of loving animals and the nature, and enforce the consciousness of envirnmental protection.
Key points and difficulties:
1. Five participle phrases
2. The spelling of “running” and “ swimming”
Teaching preparation:
Word cards, pictures and CAI
Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Warming-up
1. let’s sing a song
Sing the song: What are you doing
2. Free talk
3. let’s do
Hunt like a mouse ……
Step 2 Presentation
1. Zoom and Mr Pig are going to visit the Zoo. Let’s go with them.
CAI presents “ flying”
Say the sentece “The bird is flying”.
2. CAI “a rabbit” “jumping”
Guess and fill the blanks.
3. Picture “running”
The tiger is running after the rabbit.
4. Guess: What is it Show “walking”
Answer the question: What is the elephant doing
5. Teaching “swimming”
Learn to say “ Look at the fish. It’s swimming.”
Step 3 Procedure
1. Let’s play a game
2. Let’s match them.
3. Let’talk about the picture
4. Enjoying some pictures of different animals.
Step 4 Homework
1. Do spelling game with your partners.
2. Say the participle phrases to your parents and do the relative actions.
3. Make an alblum of animals.
