C. Why is it trained camels and meals cooked by experts?
C. In English, when a single –ed form is used as an attributive, it usually goes in front of the noun. But if it’s an–ed phrase, it goes behind the noun. B. 2) - ed + noun 3) noun+ - ed过去分词作定语的用法1.过去分词作定语时,相当于形容词。
2.单个分词作定语通常置于其所修饰的名词之前,分词短语则置于名词之后。
3.过去分词作定语通常表示以下意义。
A.及物动词的过去分词通常表示被动(被修饰的名词与用作过去分词的动词构成被动关系)
a respected guest 尊敬的客人
a used car一辆(被)用过的车(旧车)
B.不及物动词的过去分词表示完成
a retired teacher 一位(已)退休的教师
fallen leaves落叶 (已落到地上的叶子)
过去分词与现在分词做定语的差异1. 过去分词作定语通常表示被动或完成意义。
现在分词作定语则表示主动和进行意义.
boiled water已沸腾过的水
boiling water 正在沸腾的水
loving parents 慈爱的父母
deeply loved parents (被)深爱着的父母2. 过去分词表示“(自身)感到……”多用于修饰人;现在分词则表示 “令人/让人感到……”,多用于修饰物。
a frightened girl 一个受到惊吓的女孩
a frightening animal 一个让人害怕的动物
