Teaching Means Multimedia
Teaching Period 1 period.
Teaching Procedure Greeting.Divide the class into 5 groups.Lead-in.Show the students a basket of foods and ask them “Where are they from ” Then tell them the foods here will be the gifts for the Winner Group.Show some pictures of agriculture to compare.Question: Do you want to know more about modern agriculture New lesson.Listen to the tape with two questions and enjoy some pictures of agriculture.After listening, answer questions and check their answers.Read the text quietly and quickly, then match the columns.Check answers and encourage the students.Read the passage carefully then play a game together. Because the game belongs to the passage, pay more attention to the details.Play a game: There are five buttons on the screen and when somebody presses one of them, it will have some exercises about this lesson. Ask one of the students comes to the flat and presses one button, he or she will call his or her classmates to answer. If the answer is right, he or she will get a star until the class is over. At the end of the class, the winner group will get the gifts---the foods in the basket.Discussion. What we can do to grow more crops and be friendly to the environment at the same time Also, the students will discuss it with the help of some pictures.8. People never go against nature to develop modern agriculture. We should work hard and protect the environment.Homework: (1).The text doesn't have an ending, please imagine an ending for it. (2).Preview the language points in the text.
