Following the roar, out rushed a tiger from among the bushes.
Then followed eight years of the Anti-Japanese War.
Then came wind, hail(冰雹) and frost(霜, 霜冻).
注：如果主语是一个人称代词，谓语仍放在后面，如：
Away they went. / Down it flew. / Up it went.3.形容词, 非谓语动词前置的倒装：
The door opened and came a troop of children
in all Sorts of fancy dresses.
Seated on the ground are a group of young
men playing cards.
Lying on the floor was a boy aged about seventeen.
Present at the meeting was Professor White.
四.部分倒装（1）一般疑问句，助动词提前（2）否定词放在句首（never,never before, little ,
nothing, not a, rarely ,seldom, neither, nor，
hardly, scarcely
也包括具有否定意义的词组
in no time, in no way,by no means)eg: 1. Never before have I seen such a film. Never have I seen a better film before.2. In no way can he pass the math exam.3. Hardly does the animal move in its hibernating state.4. The elephant is not like a wall.
Neither /Nor is it like a fan.5. Seldom does he go to the factory. 6. Not a single word of English does he know.(3) 连词 conj.not until ; so…that…; no sooner…than…
hardly/rarely/scarcely…when…（刚…就) as/though(让步）eg: 1. Mary didn’t leave until John arrived . Not until John arrived did Mary leaveIt was not until John arrived that Mary left. So fast does light travel that it is difficult for us to imagine its speed.
Such was the force of the explosion that all the windows were broken.
Such was his strength that he could bend iron bars.2. The film is so moving that everyone wants to see it.So moving is the film that everyone…3. He had no sooner gone out than it began to rain.No sooner had he gone out than it began to rain.4. He had hardly finished his exercises when the

teacher came in.5. not only… but also的倒装需在连接两个句子的时候，
而不是连接两个主语也不是宾语 Not only was everything he had taken away from him
but also his German citizenship.6. as 引导的让步状语从句(就相当于though,但不能用although)Child as/though he is , he knows a lot about life.Man as/though he is , he is very timid.N的单数，
冠词省略Hard as he works, he can’t pass the test.Try as he may, he will fail again.(4).adv①.only 要在强调状语时才用倒装.Only he knows the answer to the question.主语不倒装eg.

get back to work again.②.SO1) He studies English well. So does she.2) He studies English well. So he does.3) So it is /was (the same) with…He didn’t study well and failed in the exam.

句首，也用倒装Often had I discussed it with them.Well do I remember what you said when we last met. Many a time has he given us good advice. (5). 省略了if 的虚拟条件从句（had ,were ,should开头）Had I been informed earlier, I could have done something.Were she here, she would support the motion.Should any one call, tell him to wait for me here.
