的情况有：
（1）在there be 句型及其类似结构如“here ( now,then)+
谓语+主语”的句型中，如：
There are some sheep under the big tree.
There stands a tower by the lake.
There seem to be still some elements undiscovered yet.
Here comes our English teacher .
There goes the bell.
(2)当句首的状语为方位词或拟声词，或以up,down,out,
in,away,off等副词开头的句子，句子须全部倒装，以表
示强调；与这些词相搭配的表示位置转移的动词常有：
come,go,lie,live,stand,sit ,seem,remain等，但在这个结
构中不用进行时态。Out rushed a boy.
Down jumped a monkey.
East of the city is a factory.
Up went the plane.
In came the chairman and the meeting began.
注意：当这些句中如主语是人称代词，则用正常语序。
There she comes.
Here you are.
In he comes.
当句首状语为表示 地点的介词短语时句子须倒装。如：
Round the corner walked a large policeman.
Under the table was lying a wounded young man.(3).当主语是名词或代词，谓语是系动词，表语是说明
性的词，词组或定语从句，可以使用完全倒装句，
起强调作用。表语放在句首时，倒装结构为：
表语+连系动词+主语。具体有如下形式：
形容词+ 连系动词+ 主语
Present at the meeting were some famous reporters.
Lucky is he who has passed the examination.
过去分词+连系动词+ 主语
Gone are the days when we used oil lamps.
介词短语+ be +主语
Among the goods are some toys,flowers and cards.
such + be +主语
Such was Albert Einstein , a simple man .
Such were the classmates .副词+连系动词+主语
Nearby were two boats in which they had come to the
island.
(4)为了保持句子平衡，或为了强调表语或状语，或
为了使上下文紧密衔接。
They arrived at a hotel , in front of which parked
many cars.
Inside the cage settled a bird, which could copy
people’s voice.
(5)在叙述性书面语中，直接引语后常跟 asked Mary,
answered John, said the old lady. 主语是代词，不能
倒装。如：
“what do you mean ?” asked Henry.
“what do you mean?” he asked.部分倒装是指助动词、情态动词或be动词放在主语前。
引起部分倒装的情况有：
（1）虚拟语气中省if .
Were I you ,I would refuse to do it.
= if I were you , I would……
Had we given more time ,we would have finished it early.
= If we had given more time , we would ……
（2）当句首状语由“only + 介词短语”，
“only + 状语从句”构成时
Only in this way can you improve your English.
Only because there was some leftover bread did she get
some food in the end.
（3）用于no sooner …than, hardly…when,not until
句型No sooner had he heard the news than he rushed out.
Hardly had he finished his work when he went to
watch the game.
Not until my father came back did I go to bed.
（4）在具有否定意义的rarely ,never, scarcely, little
no sooner, hardly, seldom, at no time, by no means,
in no way, on no account, nowhere, nobody, not only
等副词、连词及词组开头的句子中。
Seldom does he go to the cinema.
Little do I know about the country.
Many a time have I seen him play so wonderfully.
Visit our stores. Nowhere else will you find so good
things.（5）often ,many a time 等表示频度的状语防句首。
Often did they think of going there,but they never had
a chance.
Many a time has she helped me with my English.
（6）以so / such …that … 开头的句子
So small was the mark that I could hardly see it.
Such a clever boy is he that all of us like him.
（7）用so ,nor , neither 表示后一句的主语也适用前
一句的情况。
---This problem is not difficult.
---Neither is that one.
---He likes playing basketball.
---So do I. 注意 so he does. 表示强调（8）在强调宾语时
Useful materials can we take from the waste.
（9）表示祝愿时

（10）在方式状语thus开头的句子中
Thus ended his life.这样结束了他的生命。
注意：由 as / though 引导的让步状语从句
Child as / though he is, he knows a lot.
Young as / though he is , he knows a lot.
