句型一:Though/Although引导的状语从句
例:虽然下课了,但他还在做练习。
Though class was over, he was still doing his exercises.
(1) 虽然天在下雨,但我们不停地跑。
(2) 虽然他年纪大了,但看起来很年轻。(用正常语序和倒装语序)
(3) 虽然他很用功,但他考试没有及格。
(4) 虽然他尽了很大力气,但没有成功。
(5) 空气有重量,不过很轻。
(6) 虽然他很忙,但他总是挤时间(find time)学习。(用倒装语序)
(7) 虽然他是个孩子,但干得很好。(用倒装语序)
句型二:…used to do sth.
例:我以前常骑自行车上班。I used to go to work by bike.
(1) 他童年时经常去游泳。
(2) 这个城镇不像往日那么宁静了。
(3) 他过去不喜欢踢足球。
(4) 她过去经常弹钢琴吗?
(5) 街拐角处过去有一个汽车站吗?

句型三:…not…until…
例:直到夜里12点他才睡觉。
He didn’t go to bed until twelve at night.

句型四:…too…to do sth.

句型五:It takes sb.+(time) to do sth.

(5) He didn’t turn his head until I shouted at the top of my voice. 或It was not until I shouted at the top of my voice that he turned his head. 或Not until I shouted at the top of my voice did he turn his head.
句型四:
(1) John was too disappointed to (havea)try again.
(2) I am too tired to go on with the experiment.
(3) The maths problems is too difficult for me to work out. 或The maths problem is not easy enough for me to work out.
(4) He arrived at the bus stop too late to catch the early bus. 或He didn’t arrive at the bus stop early enough to catch the early bus.

句型五:
(1) It takes me twenty minutes to walk to school every day. 或It takes twenty minutes for me to walk to school every day.

句型六:

Time passes very quickly. Now it is September. I should go back to school. I can still remember the day when I had just finished my final exams. Though I was free from the exams. I couldn’t enjoy myself in the summer holidays.
In the past, when summer holidays arrived, I used to go swimming in the river with my friends. When we jumped into the cool clean water, we wuoldn’t go back home until the sun had set. However, I couldn’t to swimming any more in the holidays, because I had failed in the maths exam.
It was too hot for me to stay at home, but I had to do so. It would take me several hours to work out the maths problems every day. I believe “ Failure is the mother of success.” I have made up my mind to work hard at all the subjects in the new school term.(140 words)

句型一:…to impress sb. with sth
例:李老师的课给同学们留下了深刻印象。
Teacher Li impressed all students very much with her class.

句型四:It +seems+that从句
例:看样子她不能来上课了。It seemed that she couldn’t come to class.

句型五:…to be afraid +that从句
例:恐怕她不会来了。I’m afraid that she won’t come.

句型六:…as soon as…
例:我感觉好一些就会来上课的。I will come to class as soon as I feel better.
