6. Activity 1: Write a postcard to your friend.
T: Now suppose you are visiting your favorite country. You are very happy and you want to share your joy with your friend. Write a postcard to your friend ant tell him or her what you saw there. You don’t have to tell your friend the name of the country. Let him/her guess where you are. See if he/she can guess it.

The rest in this group can use any words, phrases or sentences to help him guess what it is in 30 seconds. But you have to remember that you can’t use any word in the name of the place.
8. Discussion:
T: Traveling is always a very happy thing. But sometimes it can be very bad if you do something wrong. So what do you think you have to do to make your journey happy or perfect?
Have students talk about it quickly:
Keep quiet in public places.
Do not litter.
Do not spit everywhere.
Do not pick flowers.
Wait for your turn. Don’t jump the queue.9. Homework:
1) Read the dialogue again.
2) Try to remember all the new words in this part.
Design intention:
This lesson is the first period in this unit. It mainly introduces the main task in this unit. In this lesson, I try to help students learn something about the places of interest in the world. I use several games to arouse their interest and try to make them believe English is fun and easy. Everybody can learn it well.
First, I ask students to sing an interesting song. Students should sing and dance. They will be very excited. Then lead to the comic strips by talking about exercise. Exercise can help us keep healthy. Then talk about different kinds of exercises and lead to the topic: traveling around the world. Use a game to check what places of interest students have learned. Then come to the text. Read the post cards and find out where the three students are according to the information on the postcard. Then talk about the country students most want to visit. Use the dialogue to find out the answers. Then play another game to encourage students use their own words to describe some famous places. At last, talk about something they should do when they are traveling. Remind students to be a good traveler.
