Teaching aims and demands:
I .Knowledge aims (知识目标):
1) Learn some names of foods and drinks.
2) Learn to order and offer foods and drinks:
Here’s the menu. May I take your order? I’d like to try Beijing roast duck.
Anything else? May I have the bill? Thank you for coming.
3) Learn some expressions about the food festival:
Ladies and gentlemen, happy weekend! Let’s wish the students success!
Welcome to our food festival. Enjoy yourselves!
II.Ability aims(能力目标):
通过本堂课的教学,培养学生对知识进行分类和总结的能力,同时通过完成一系列的任务,让学生在“活动”中学习,提高听、说、读、写全方面的语言技能,培养学生自主学习灵活运用语言知识的综合能力和创新意识。

通过本课的学习,培养学生互学互补的合作意识,竞争意识及团队协作精神。

Pre-task
Get the Ss to collect the words about foods, drinks and fruits in groups and make them into PowerPoint.
Revise the useful phrases and expressions about ordering and offering foods and drinks.
1.(课前活动)学生以小组形式将所学食品、饮料和果蔬分类归纳并制作成幻灯片,既培养他们归纳总结知识的能力,也发挥学生的电脑特长,给他们提供展现综合素质的平台。
2.对语言点的复习为完成本课的后续任务做准备。
Leading-in
Greetings.
Duty report.( Make a hamburger )
1.师生问候。
2.把所学知识与实践相结合。
While-task
Ask some Ss to be teachers to report about their collection to revise all kinds of foods and drinks.
Have a guessing competition about foods and drinks in pairs.
Show a poster for the food festival on P59 and ask some Qs.
Play the flash (Section A 1 & 2a) and get the Ss to watch and listen.
Show some Qs and have the Ss listen again.
Get the Ss to answer the Qs and finish the exercise in 2b.
Have the Ss read the dialogs and find out the key points.
Show and explain the key points and have the Ss read together.
T cleans some parts of the dialogue and gets the Ss to complete the dialogue orally with the help of T.
10. Play the flash of the menu (Section B 1a) and have the Ss practice the dialog in groups and act it out.
1.变换师生角色,增强课堂互动。
2.以限时计量竞赛形式巩固已学知识,为目标语言的呈现作铺垫,调动学生的积极性和学习兴趣,培养学生的竞争意识和合作精神。
3.用Michael设计的广告引出美食节的开幕式。
4.把本课的两段对话有机结合起来,使用直观教学法和情景教学法,增强语言实践的真实感,让学生模仿正确的语音、语调。
5.让学生带着问题听对话更有针对性。
7.让学生学会确定重难点,对本课知识起巩固和深化的作用。
9.让学生在回忆中完成对话,可以使学生精力集中,当场强化记忆,掌握基本表达句型并尽可能做到当场背诵,为表演作好铺垫。
10.让学生参与语言实践活动,尝试着创造性、研究性地运用语言,把语言知识转化为语言技能。
Post-task
1. Give the Ss 2m to prepare a similar dialogue about ordering and offering the foods and drinks.
2. Practice in pairs and act them out.
通过情景表演或命题对话,让学生把点菜、进餐和现实生活联系起来,创造真实的语言环境,以达到知识的拓展、迁移和应用。
Sum up
Guide the Ss to sum up the main points of this topic.
