Ⅰ、教材分析
使用的教材为中等职业教育国家规划教材《英语Ⅱ》(基本版)Unit 10。本节课是一堂阅读理解课,内容是关于感恩节的来历,教师可以通过图片和多媒体展示有关的资料,增加学生感性认识,提高兴趣,加深印象。
Ⅱ、教学对象分析
1、中等专业的学生,相对一般中学的学生,英语基础稍低,学习英语的能力较缺乏;甚至有部分学生已经处于对英语缺乏兴趣的状态,思维能力正处于被动阶段。为了拓展学生的思维,培养学生的兴趣,教学着重激发学生的学习积极主动性和培养创造性思维。
2、学生对感恩节不是十分了解,对于部份基础一般的学生,堂上理解本文有一定的难度。因此,教师在教学上采取以旧带新,配合媒体与动作图片,创设情景引入,进行视、听、说演示。
3、课前要求学生预习单词,这样既可培养学生的自学能力,又可以节约部份课堂时间,有助教学任务的完成。
Ⅲ、教学目标
1、认知目标
1) 初步掌握文中单词,词组,能在进行听力过程中听明白其在句子中的意思:
widely, settle, passenger, remainder, net, game, harvest, specific, devote, crop, apart, twice, president, declare, generally, governor, state, specify;
2) 通过视听说让学生理解课文,认识感恩节的来历及演变;
2、思想情感目标
1) 通过学习了解感恩节,使学生更多地了解国外的风俗习惯;
2) 增强学生学习英语的兴趣。
3、能力发展目标
1) 通过知识的分析理解,发展学生的分析观察问题的能力,提高学习效率。
2) 联系生活实际,运用所学知识进行讨论,提高其口语表达能力、合作学习能力。
Ⅳ、教学重点
1.了解感恩节有关背景知识与感恩节的演变;
2.了解现代感恩节的庆祝方式。
Ⅴ、教学难点
通过分步理解和整体感知课文内容,使学生了解感恩节有关背景知识与感恩节的演变,并能联系生活实际感受现代感恩节的庆祝方式。
Ⅵ、教学策略
在教学上采用引导式和启发式结合,配合媒体与动作、图片、表情、创设情景引入,进行视、听、说演示,以听说法,直观法为主的“任务型”教学。
Ⅶ、教学媒体
本课采用计算机辅助教学(CAI),课件制作使用Powerpoint。计算机综合了各种教学媒体的功能,能够设置与课文内容同步的动画片,创造极好的教学情景,能较充分地调动学生学习英语的积极性,刺激学生获取信息的各种感官,做到眼看、耳听、脑想、手动,增加学习信息容量,优化英语教学过程,切实提高学生学习英语的效能。
Ⅷ、教学时间:1课时(45分钟)
Ⅸ、教学材料设计:
本课主要使用听说法、直观法进行“任务型”教学,运用启发式教学,培养学生的创造性思维,提高学生的理解能力和分析能力。教材设计考虑到不同层次的学生,简单的问题让基础不太好的学生回答。要求能力强的思考性问题让基础好的学生回答。这样设计,不同层次的学生均有发言的机会,增加其学习英语的信心和兴趣。
本课的教学过程主要分为七步:
第一步:导入新课
本课是一篇关于感恩节的来历,本人一边复习其他的节日(包含中国和国外的一些节日)一边引入新课,以旧带新,让学生初步了解课文的内容。
第二步:听录音,分段理解课文
让学生通过听课文录音,进行任务型听力训练,使学生在听的过程中结合直观图片,了解感恩节的来历及演变。这样既能提高学生的听力水平,又有利于本节课的教学,达到教学效果。最后,结合一些强化练习,加深理解文章内容。
第三步:阅读课文,巩固理解
让学生自己阅读课文,然后通过一些针对性地练习,加强理解感恩节的来历和演变。
第四步:影片展示,了解现代感恩节的庆祝方式
通过放映影片,了解现代国外庆祝感恩节的方式,使学生更多地了解国外的风俗习惯。
第五步:分组讨论
通过一个分组讨论:现在正在庆祝感恩节,你最想把感谢给谁?为什么?这样既活跃课堂气氛,又将口语训练内容结合起来,培养学生说英语的能力;同时也增强学生敢说英语的勇气和信心,发扬同学之间的合作精神,同时进行思想情感教育。
第六步:归纳和评价
总结本课所学的内容,最后教师总评、小结。
第七部:作业巩固
1、 完成书本中的练习和练习册中的练习;
2、 写一篇关于感恩节来历的文章。

T: Have you heard of the Thanksgiving Day Thanksgiving Day was used to thank for good harvest. Well, today we will learn about the history of Thanksgiving.

Let the students to listen to the tape, and then answer some questions according to the pictures.
