短文改错高考短文改错题非常注重考查名词的单复数形式,可以说几乎每年都有这类题目。因而要特别注意根据语境使用名词的复数形式。
e.g 1). NMET2003: Their word were a great encouragement to me.
2). NMET2002: On the way up I was busy taking picture since the scenery was so beautiful.
分析:word是可数名词,word为"信息;消息"之意,而words为"话语"之意,根据后面的动词were判断,word应用名词复数形式words。
分析:picture为可数名词,根据文中"风景好当然应多拍照片"的说法,应用名词复数形式。
wordspictures很多考生不注意利用时态来判断和解决问题,这特别容易失分。实际上利用时态的判断作用不可小视。  e.g. 1).(NMET2003) She liked it very much and reads it to the class.
2).(NMET2002) The time passes quickly. Evening came down.
3). (NMET2001) They did not want me to do any work at family; they want me to devote all my time to my studies.
分析:从全文来看,这是作者回忆初次学会用英语书写的情景,因而全文应是过去时态。根据liked的时态,自然reads应该为过去式read。  分析:从动词came以及上下文的提示可以看出,pass应当用一般过去时passed。 分析:由第二句中动词want,以及上下文其他动词表示此处应该用do来代替did。 readpasseddo 动名词的正确运用e.g. 1).(NMET2003) Soon I began to enjoy talk to myself on paper…
2).(NMET1997) I look forward to hear from you soon.
分析:enjoy后要跟动名词即doing形式作宾语,因此要将talk改为talking。 分析:在look forward to 词组中,to是介词,后跟动名词或名词作介词宾语,此时不能用动词原形代替,应用hearing。 talkinghearing 对固定短语的考查 e.g.1).(NMET2003) My teacher advised me to keep my diary.
2).(NMET2000) Suddenly, I caught a sight of my English teacher.
分析:记日记应为keep a diary,不能将不定冠词改为物主代词而改变固定短语。 分析:catch sight of为固定词组,意为"看见",本题应删去a。 a 人称代词不能随意替换 e.g. 1).(NMET2003) I was learning to express me in simple English.
2).(NMET2002) The three of them were very excited. As we climbed the mountain, ...
分析:根据语法特点以及express后常跟反身代词的特点,应将me改为反身代词myself。分析:根据后句主语及上下文的语义,出题者将第一人称偷换成第三人称,应将主语部分的them改为us。
