A: What would you like to read after class?
B: I think I might want to read some poems (or: poetry) about nature.
A: Why are you interested in that kind of poetry?
B: Well, I’m very interested in biology so I think I will enjoy reading about plants and birds and animals. What about you?
A: I’ve never read any poems about nature, so I really don’t know. I think it will be too difficult for me to understand poems.
B: But what would you like to read?
A: I hope to find something easy and interesting.
B: Oh, maybe some humour, or funny stories?
A: Yes, that kind of thing. Or perhaps some limericks. Dialogue 2A: Our teacher asked us to read some poetry. Have you already found some?
B: No, I don’t know so much about poetry, but I heard Shakespeare’s poems are very beautiful.
A: Yeah, but I think it will be too difficult to do Shakes- peare.
B: Hmm. I think I might want to read some poetry from the 18th Century.
A: I don’t know. I’ve never read any 18th century poetry, so I’m afraid I cannot help you with that. I think it’ll be very boring to read old poetry. Why not take some modern poetry?
B: That’s a good idea. I hope to find a nice poem about American countryside. I’m very interested in Nature.
A: I’d like something about love and friendship .Homework1. Preview “Reading” and try to understand it.2. Divide the text into 4 parts and find out the main idea for each part.Let’s

Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory.
Odors, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.
Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heaped for the beloved’s bed.
And so thy thoughts, when thou
art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.
