and wonders, a world where anything can happen. Many of
the creatures in Rowlling’s world are not real, and much of
what happens is strange. JK Rowling has written a series of books about Harry Potter, a boy with a scar on his forehead and a secret past. The books are about magic and strange creatures, but they still tell us something about the real world
In the first book about Harry Potter, we meet Harry Potter
before he knows anything about magic. Harry seems like a normal boy, but his life is miserable. His parents are dead
and he lives with a family that treats him badly. Harry is very
unhappy and doesn’t know what to do about his life. His life
changes when a bird tells him to go to Hogwarts and become
a student of Witchcraft and Wizardry. something strange or unreal in the world a number of books in order the front part of one’s head when he knows nothing looks the family he lives with does sth bad to him what he should do a schoolHogwarts is an unusual school where the students learn about
magic and how to be wizards. But for Harry the most
important lesson is about real life, friendship and how to be
brave. Harry learns more than magic at Hogwarts. He makes
new friends and learns how important and difficult it is to be a
good friend. His friends help him when he is in trouble, but he
must be also strong and help them when they need him. Harry
also learns to be brave and to do things he used to be afraid of
. He learns the truth about his past, a dark secret that will make
his life and his choices more difficult. At Hogwarts, Harry
also learns about the power of love. The magic, many strange
creatures and the adventures Harry comes across at Hogwarts
help him understand the real world.

someone is born and what a person looks like is not as
important as what he or she grows up to be. Two people may
speak different languages, have different habits or even come
from two different worlds, but they can still be friends if they

The world of Rowling is a world of magic and
wonders, a world where anything can happen. Harry
potter is a boy with a scar on his forehead who seems
normal enough but has a secret past. Harry’s life is
miserable before he goes to the Hogwarts School of
witchcraft and wizardry. His parents are dead and he

At Hogwarts Harry not only learns about magic and how to be

be brave. He also learns the truth about his past and learns
about the power of love and goodness. The magic, many

  袁隆平一生献身于农业研究,先后受到联合国教科文组织、粮农组织的称誉。袁隆平虽已年届70岁,仍然一如既往地从事农业研究。袁隆平人物简历writinghybrid rice;

UNESCO, FAO.Possible version: Yuan Longping is known as China’s “father of hybrid rice”. It’s said that in China, we eat depending on “Two Ping” ---- Deng Xiaoping, who made the policy of System of Production Responsibility, & Yuan Longping, who invented hybrid rice.
Yuan Longping, who was born in September, 1930, graduated from Agriculture Department in Southwest Agricultural Institute. He has been working on agriculture education & the research into hybrid rice since he left the institute.
In the 1960s, when China was suffering serious famine, he came up with the idea of hybrid rice, which has a high yield. Ten years later, he succeeded in inventing a new species that produced a 20 percent higher yield than common types of rice.
Yuan devoted himself to the research into agriculture, & was honored by UNESCO & FAO. Although he is 70 years old, he is still working on the research into agriculture. who, whom, that
whose
which, that
Is he the man who/that wants to see you?
He is the man whom/ that I saw yesterday.
They went to help the man whose car had broken down.
Please pass me the book whose cover is green.
A tiger which / that had escaped from the zoo is now at large.
The bag which / that I am carrying is too heavy. 通常构成such … as 或the same… as等固定搭配。
I’d like to use the same tool as you used yesterday.
Many of the sports were the same as they are now.

when, where, why
that 张鋆良when where why 关系副词when, where, why的含义相当于 “介词+ which”结构,因此常常和“介词+ which”结构交替使用
There are occasions when (on which) one must lie.
Beijing is the place where (in which) I was born.
Is this the reason why (for which) he argued with us?
His father died the year (that / when / in which) he was born.
It is hard to find the place (that / where / in which) he lived forty years ago.
This is the house in which I lived two years ago.
This is the house where I lived two years ago.
Do you remember the day on which you joined our club?
Do you remember the day when you joined our club?
This is the house which we bought last month.
The house, which we bought last month, is very nice.
张鋆良as which非限定性定语从句 由as, which 引导的非限定性定语从句,as和which可代整个主句,相当于and this或and that。

This is the house (which/that) Lu Xun lived in.
This is the house in which Lu Xun lived.
This is the pen (which/that) I am looking for.
This is the best film that has ever been made.
The first place (that) we visited was the Great Wall.
先行词有the only, the very修饰时,只用that :
The only thing (that) he had in the room was a bed.
在不定代词,如: all, anything, nothing, the one, much, few, any, little等作先行词时,只用that,不用which:
This is all (that) I want to say.
Is there anything (that) I can do for you?
They talked of persons and things that they remembered in the school.
The tree, that is four hundred years old, is very famous here.(错)

Dear Editor,
I live in a small village. Some people in my village want to destroy an old temple so that they can build a new factory. I am really unhappy about this. I understand that it is important to develop our village, but I think it is wrong to destroy the temple. The old temple is an important part of our history. If we destroy the temple, we are also destroying our past. I think it would be better if the factory was build somewhere else, maybe on the other side of our village. There is a large area south of our village where there are no houses or buildings. Why don’t we build the factory there?
Sincerely,

My name is Xiao Hong and I am a middle school student in Dalian. I would like to tell you about two things that I think are very important. Please read what I have to say, because I think it may be helpful to you. I want to tell you about love and friendship.
Love is difficult to explain, but I will try. Love is a feeling between two people. It is a very happy and warm feeling. When two people love each other, they almost become one person. For example, if a father loves his child, he will feel sad when the child is sad and happy when the child is happy. There are many different kinds of love: you can love your parents or children, you can love your husband or your wife, or you can love someone outside your family.
Friendship is also a kind of love. When two people are friends, they try to understand and help each other. A good friend will be there for you even when you are having a difficult time. Friends do things together and share thoughts, feelings and ideas.
love and friendship are necessary if we want a happy world. If there is love, people will not do bad things to each other; if we have friends, we won’t have to fee lonely or afraid. When people fee lonely and afraid, they often get angry with others and do mean things. If we learn to love and be friends, we can live happily together and solve the problems and difficulties. We must face in life.
