文档简介

课件17张PPT。Dear Principal,
I am writing to you about a survey we have carried out among 600 Senior Three students about whether we should take physical exercise. The survey as followes.
55% of the students hold the view that they should take exercise every day, such as doing morning exercises, playing ping-pong and playing basketball, but it is unnecessary to take too much time. Exercise builds up their bodies and reduces diseases. What’s more, sports can let their brains have a rest so that they will get results in their syudies.
On the other hand, 45% students think exercise is a waste of time and it is tiring. After having sports, they will be excited and can’t concentrate on their lessons for a long time. Besides, they might get injured in sports.
In my opinion, we should have sports everyday, for half an hour exercises every day will help us feel more relaxed and energetic when we work hard.

First of all, Xiao Hong could ask a passer-by for directions. Since it was a sunny day, she could also use the position of the sun to tell the directions. And finally she could also replace the signpost so that it correctly named the direction she had come from. Then it would be correct for all the other directions.(59)

Our teacher went out and soon returned with a smile on her face. She told us that a group of American students were visiting our school and they would like to chat with us in English. We were very glad to have this opportunity to practice our English. Soon pleasant conversations began.

Last month your parents were both on a business trip, and you were left home alone for a few days. Tell your friends what a difficult day or happy time you had during those days. I really had a difficult time. My parents would wake me up every morning, but during those days I had to get up myself. On the first night I set the alarm at 6 o’clock, but it didn’t wake me up at all the next morning. I was scolded for being late by my teacher. Afterwards, I bought three new clocks and set them all together. What noisy mornings I had! In the morning , my alarm clock didn’t ring so I woke up an hour late. I was in such a hurry that I burned my hand when I was making breakfast. Then I ran out of the house to catch the 8:00bus, but of course I missed it.I was very unhappy because my teacher would get angry if anyone was late for class. I ran three miles to the school only to discover that it was Saturday. What a bad day I had! In the modern world, it is important to be well informed. Success in many fields depends on getting the latest information. At the same time, failure in policy making often results from the lack of necessary information. That’s why we call it the Information Age. Please point out ways to get information, at least two.Dear Miss Yang,
Yesterday you said that we should not use an electronic dictionary in class. We didn’t understand why. After class some of us had a discussion about it.
40% of the classmates think that it’s a fashion to use such a dictionary and it’s very convenient to carry as it is much lighter than a dictionary. The most important is that it is easy to use and you will find a word in a very short time. But 60% of the students think that such a dictionary can only tell you the meaning of a word but it can not give you a situation in which the word is used, which is actually no good to our vocabulary. They also say that some students play games with it.
In my opinion, we’d better use the dictionary instead of the electric dictionary.
