Warming up (1’) Greeting and relaxing into friendly atmosphere.

Mini-play performance (5’) Ss perform their prepared conversations. (4 groups).
Performers ask listeners questions.
Step 3
Revise the animal words and description. (3’) animals: tiger, lion, panda, penguin, giraffe, elephant, koala, dolphin, description words: interesting, fun, cute-- What do you think of penguins -- They are interesting/fun/cute.-- What other animals are interesting -- Giraffes are interesting.--Do you like … --Yes, I do. I like interesting animals.

Listen and repeat (5’) Get Ss to listen to the tape and repeat. Imitate the pronunciation and intonation.
Step 7Visiting a safari park (8’) “Show Ss around” Hangzhou Safari Park. After familiarizing the animals in the safari park, Ss discuss in groups of 4 what animals they want to see. Ss express their own opinions.
Report the result of their discussion.
Step 8Talk about Ss’ birth animal signs (8’) There are twelve animals representing each person’s animal sign.
