文档简介

Unit 1
I love my hometown
My hometown is in the centre of Shangdong. There are over 8,500,000 people in it. In the past, the streets here were dirty and narrow. There were few trees and the air was dirty. The rivers were also dirty. Some people were very lazy, they didn’t like to work , so they were very poor and impolite. People lived a hard life.
Now things have changed a lot. Many tall buildings have been built. The roads are very wide. Many trees cover here. You can see beautiful flowers and green grass everywhere. The air is clean. The rivers are clean, too. People are hard-working and polite. Their lives have been improved a lot. Weifang International Kite Festival and Yangjiabu New Year paitings are famous all over China.
I hope my hometown will get more beautiful and richer in the future.
Unit 2
My best holiday
Last year my parents took me to Beijing for my summer holiday. We stayed there for two months. It was really a wonderful trip.
First, we went to the center of the city. Because Beijing is the capital of China, there are a lot of people here, including travellers from all over the world, many pop stars and some other famous people. It is said that most rich people in China live in Beijing. We watched the national flag rising at Tian’anmen Square. We also went to other places of interest here.
Next, we went to Wangfujing Street—one of the oldest streets in Beijing. We spent almost three days here. We ate special food and bought many souvenirs.
In the fourth week, we went to the Palace Museum. There are many old buildings and they all look very beautiful. The old Chinese emperors lived here. We saw many old things ,such as old clothes, old hats, old shoes and so on.
At last, we went to the Great Wall---one of the most famous places in the world. It is very long---about 10 thousand li. It is also very wide. We spent two whole days here. We were tired but excited.
I’ll never forget the wonderful trip.

My dream
Everyone has his own dream. Me, too. Where there is a dream, there is a hope. My dream is to become an ORBIS doctor. I think it’s a meaningful job. If I become an ORBIS doctor, I’ll try my best to treat people’s eye problems in poor areas. I’ll also train local doctors and nurses by teaching them new skills and knowledge. I hope we can help more blind people see again. At present, I have to study hard to get more medical knowledge. I hope my dream will come true.

Dear friends,
My classmates and I want to hold a charity book sale. The aim of the activity is to raise money for helping poor students. The activity is called ‘Make the world full of love’. It will be held in our school next Saturday and it will last a whole day. We will bring our favourite books. Though we don’t need them any more, they are useful and interesting. Some of them play an important role in a child’s growth. We hope you can support us.
With regards
Unit5—Unit6
Hello, everyone! My name is Helen. The following is one of my meaningful experiences. I want to share it with you.
Last Saturday our class organized a charity walk. Our aim was to raise money for children in poor areas. We walked through the Happy Park and some streets. We also walked over some hills. We finished walking a 50-kilometre trail within 24 hours. It was a very tough walk. We had to walk a day and a night without sleep. But we learned a lot from it. We know how important teamwork is and we learn more about each other after the walk. The most important thing is that we can help some children in poor areas. We raised about 5000 yuan. The money has been donated to some children in the poor areas. I hope more people will take part in the event.
