二、【教材内容分析】
1. 教材分析
本单元教学内容为人教版新课标Module 6 Unit 3 A healthy Life。本单元的中心话题是“健康生
活”,本单元引导学生讨论这些问题:如何健身、怎样成为健康人展开,其中涉及许多社会热点问题,如抽烟、吸毒、艾滋病、学习与工作的压力等影响健康的问题,目的在于让他们远离有损身体健康的活动并培养良好的生活习惯。
“热身”(Warming up)部分主要围绕健康问题(Health issues)和真正健康的人(A truly healthy
person)展开讨论。通过热身讨论,让学生懂得:一个真正健康的人不仅要有健康的体魄,而且还要心智健全。
“读前”(Pre-reading)部分提供了五个讨论题,主要让学生明白“吸烟有害健康”这一道理。并联系实际讨论:1、为什么青少年要抽烟?2、抽烟有哪些危害?3、如何才能戒烟?
“阅读”(Reading)部分是爷爷写给孙子的一封信,信中82岁的爷爷提到:他之所以能长寿和充满活力,主要得益于他健康的生活方式。爷爷年轻的时候也抽烟,甚至也上瘾,因此他知道上瘾容易戒烟难,并以亲身体会向孙子介绍上瘾的原因、抽烟的危害和戒烟的方法,告戒孙子把烟瘾戒掉。
“理解”(Comprehending)部分提供了三个练习。第一个练习为讨论题,主要让学生对“爷爷”和“爷爷”的信作一个评价。第二个练习是表格填空,主要帮助学生加深对文章内容的理解和巩固。第三个练习要求学生写一个劝告他人戒烟的提纲,不要超过五个句子。
“语言学习”(Learning about language)的词汇部分设置了两个练习:第一个练习是单句填空,第二个练习是一段语篇,与课文内容相近,有助于课文复习,同时也提供了学词汇的语境。语法部分先通过找课文中包含“it”的句子,让学生认识“it”的用法;然后介绍it 的两个用法;形式主语和表示“时间”、“距离”、“天气”等;最后通过改写句子操练it的用法。
“语言运用”(Using language)部分综合训练听说读写能力。阅读部分是一个介绍艾滋病病毒(Human Immunodeficiency Virus, 简称HIV)和艾滋病(Accquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, 简称AIDS)的海报。文章内容可分为三个部分:一:关于艾滋病病毒的一些常识(艾滋病与艾滋病病毒的区别、艾滋病的主要传播途径)。二:预防艾滋病的主要措施:1、使用一次性注射器;2、性交过程中使用避孕套。三:由于艾滋病是不治之症,恐惧的心理让人们对艾滋病产生的一些误解。阅读部分设置了八个针对阅读内容的正误判断题,旨在帮助学生理解和巩固所读内容。听力部分设置了两项练习。第一个练习要求学生选出所听到的话题;第二个练习通过听写Tina的话,复习提建议的交际用语。
小结(Summing up)部分要求学生就吸烟、艾滋病等话题、词语和结构三个方面进行自我评价,判定学习情况。
学习建议(Learning tip)部分介绍两种类型的问题:封闭型问题(Closed questions)和开放型问题(Open-ended questions)。
2. 学情分析
1. 认知基础:高一学生基本上能用英语清晰地表达个人观点,准确地描绘
生活现象或表达个人情感,能用基本的词汇、句型对人们提出建议和劝告。
2. 心理特征:高中学生思想活跃,求知欲旺盛,学习态度明确,自我意识
发展迅速并趋向成熟,独立自主性强,有一定的道德修养及正确的价值观与审美观。
3. 学习能力:学生对it的用法有基本的了解,其自主阅读与表达能力有一定的基础,具备良好的团体协作能力,并能进行有效成功的交流合作讨论。
3. 重点难点
重点:
1.掌握有关描绘健康和HIV/AIDS的词汇,学会用英语表达建议与劝告。
2.通过对文章的学习,关注健康问题,认识到抽烟、吸毒的危害性,了解HIV/AIDS及其预防知识,树立对待HIV/AIDS病人的正确态度。
难点:
1.掌握it作为形式主语和表示时间、距离、天气和环境时的用法。
2.运用所学的词汇及句型写劝告信。
4. 教学策略与手段
1.采取多种教学方式,讲述法与讨论法相结合,启发式教学法与创设课堂思维情景相结合,接受式学习与探究式学习相结合。
2.以活动构建教学理论为指导,挖掘课程资源,利用图片、表格、多媒体等多种形式,师生互动,分组探究。
3.适时对学生的学习过程进行调控与激发,实现教学预设与动态生成的统一。
5. 教学准备
教师整理课堂相关文字、图表、影音资料,制成多媒体课件。
课前组织学生搜集有关戒烟方法与艾滋病病毒传播途径等基本知识的收集。
课前按教室座位情况将学生分成若干小组,每组6人,并选出组长一人,以小组为单位开展合作学习。
三、【课型设计与课时分配】
考虑到各部分内容的内在联系,笔者结合教学实际将同一话题不同内容与形式的材料进行了重组,对教材内容、编排顺序等进行了调整、删减和补充,将整个单元设计成五个课时,丰富了教学内容和语言活动形式。

Period 1: Warming up
Teaching aims:
Get the students to have a general idea about health issues.
Let the students tell which activity is healthy or unhealty.
To talk about the importance of health.

用两人讨论的方式,讨论以上这一些问题,一方面对幻灯片11张是一个延伸,另一方面这三个问题其实就是接下来要读的文章的几个重点问题,所以这一个讨论对于文章内容有一定铺垫作用。但是在这个部分教师不必要求学生过多的理论探讨,启发学生讲讲身边的人和事,更有趣和说服力。

Step 5: Difficult sentences

It is a good idea to drink lots of water and eat lots of fruit when you are quitting smoking. This will help to remove the nicotine from your body faster and you won’t feel so sick.
It is normal to feel a little stressed when you first give up smoking, but try to remember that it will only last a few days and then you will begin to feel much better.
