Ⅰ. Warming up
Listen to some music including piano, flute, violin, jazz and so on.
T: “How do you find the music you just listen to ” “What kind of music do you like ”
S:
T: just now some students said they liked piano, another said they liked traditional Chinese music, do you have an idea that we combine western music with traditional Chinese folk
S:
T: In fact a musician has such an idea. He is Kong Xiangdong,-- a pianist. Have you heard of him
S:
T: Today we will read an article about music, the title is “Experiment in Folk”
Ⅱ Reading
Now read the text and let’s see what’s the matter.
After reading the text, show a picture of Kong Xiangdong, give a brief profile:
A famous Chinese man in the music world, one of the most famous pianists in the world. He has performed in more than 40 countries and has won numerous prize. He combine western music and folk music well.
