Unit 12 Don’t eat in class.
Step one: Warming -up
1. Greeting.
2. Play the music.
T: Do you like listening to music
Ss: Yes.
T: Can you listen to music in class
Ss: No.
T: That’s right. So “ Don’t listen to music in the classrooms. We can’t listen to music in the classrooms.” ( Write the sentences on the Bb.)
Step two: Presentation
1. Show the pictures
T: What is he doing
Ss: He is running.
T: Where is h running
Ss: In the hallway.
T: Can he run in the hallway
Ss: No, he can’t.
T: Don’t run in the hallways. ( Ask Ss to repeat.)
Show more pictures, and present more sentence patterns.
“Don’t eat in the classrooms.”
“Don’t fight.”
“Don’t be late for class.”(Ask the students to repeat all the sentences.)
T: These are our school rules.
2. Ask the students to tell the school rules.
3. Three students break the rules. Ask Ss listen to the tape. Finish 1b. Then check the answers.
Step three: Practice
1. Group work.
Suppose one is a teacher, and the others are breaking the rules. 3 or 4 Ss a group. (Give Ss some paper with the rules.)
Give Ss several minutes, then ask several groups to act out.
2. Listening (2a&2b)
T: There’s a new student Cindy. She doesn’t know the rules. Alice tells her. Listen to the tape, check the rule they talk about. Then check the answers.
Step Four Consolidation
1. Guessing game
Task: Can you guess what rules they are
1) Keep quiet and don’t make noise.
2) Don’t speak loudly when you read a book.
3) You can’t take the book away.
4) You can’t borrow the book if you have a rest.

2. Make some rules for family , computer room, or traffic. Three or four Ss discuss the rules, then give a report.

Step Five: Homework
Make some suggestions for the English teacher like the following.

教学评价:
1. 本节课各环节完整, 整体上感觉较塌实,朴实,学生基本能学以致用。
2. 本节课在设计上考虑到了合作学习,任务型学习等,考虑到了听、说、读、写等方面能力的培养。
3. 教师在教具方面准备充分,如各种各样的图片,直观教学学生较容易接受。
4. 学生的基础较好,基本能表达,表演时积极。但教师叫学生的人数似乎过多,在这个环节花费的时间过多,造成后面环节时间不够。
5. 采用小组竞争的方式充分调动学生的积极性,但教师在结束没有给予最终的评价,比较可惜。
