Ba Da Ling is a hill about 1000 meters above sea level. The Great Wall runs along the ridge. It's a marvelous sight, just like a giant serpent winding its way over the mountains! It's really breathtaking.
It runs all the way across the eastern half of China. Its length is about 6000 kilometers. That's why we China call it "Ten- thousand- li Long Wall".
The Great Wall was constructed in ancient times to guard against invasion by nomadic tribes from the north. Ancient Chinese were real great.
"He who doesn't reach the Great Wall is not a real man." is an ancient China saying.

The Nile river
The Nile is the longest river in the world, stretching north for approximately 4,000 miles from East Africa to the Mediterranean.
Studies have shown that the River (Iteru, meaning, simply, River, as the Egyptians called it) gradually changed its location and size over millions of years.
The Nile flows from the mountains in the south to the Mediterranean in the north.
Three rivers flowed into the Nile from the south and thus served as its sources: the Blue Nile, the White Nile and the Arbara.
Truly, the Nile is the Heart of the ancient and modern land of Egypt.
