I’m Hong Gang. I’m from China. I’m having a good time in France. I was a little nervous before I arrived here. Now I’m learning how to behave at the dinner table. It is really different from what’s at home. For example, you shouldn’t put your bread on your plate, you should put it on the table instead. You shouldn’t eat anything else with your hands except bread, not even fruit. You have to cut it up and eat it with a fork. It’s rude to say you’re full. If you don’t want more food, you should say,“It was delicious.” It’s rude to put your hands in your lap. You should always keep your hands away, but not put your elbows on the table. I’m now getting used to these things, and don’t feel them so strange any more.
