Step1 Lead-in
1) Show the students some pictures of world famous scientists
--Throughout history, scientist have played an important role in our life. Because they discoveried or invented many things. Thanks to these great men or women, we now lead a good life . Can you guess who the following scientises are

Franklin invented lightning rod after he did many experiments about electricity. Today we will read one of his famous experiments. Now please turn to page24 and look at the title.

Benjamin Franklin was a world famous scientist. One day in June 1752, he wanted to show that lightning and e are the same, so he decided to do an e .In his experiment; he used a kite to a lightning.
