Unit6 I'm more outgoing than my sister
一.教学目标
1.知识目标 (1) 谈论个性特征; (2) 学习使用形容词的比较级比较人的个性特征;
2.能力目标: 学习比较身边的事物并选择最佳方案;
3.情感态度目标:
(1) 通过学习,学会与朋友友好相处,培养乐观,积极向上的性格.
(2) 通过形象、生动的教学使学生掌握如何去比较两个人,并从中学会欣赏别人中,享受与不同的人交往的乐趣。
(3) 培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣,乐于参加各种活动的积极情感。
4.学习策略与思维技巧 (1)? 分类表述; (2) 听取特定信息; (3) 逻辑分类与表述.
二.教学重点与难点
1.教学重点:形容词的比较等级的变化规则..
2.教学难点: 形容词的比较等级的不规则变化.
三.教学方法
采用任务型教学法,依据使学生在用中学,学中用的理念,为学生创造一个较真实的语言环境,激发学生的学习兴趣,使学生真正融入与课堂之中,从而收到良好的教学效果.
四.教学设计
Step 1 Greeting
Ask the following questions to know more about the students. While the teacher is asking, get the students to write down their answers.
Do you like singing and dancing?
Do you like sports?
Do you like speaking?
Do you like laughing?
Do you like making friends?
Do you like being out?
Do you like helping others?
Ask the students how many Yes they have got.If they have got 7—3 Yes,that means they are outgoing.If they have got 0—2 Yes,they are quiet.
Get the students to guess if the teacher is outgoing or quiet.
Step 2 Revision
Get the students to know more about the teacher by showing them some pictures and telling them something about the old students of the teacher.At the same time,revise the ajectives they have learned and present the new word:athletic/wild/calm.
Step 3 Presentation
Tell the students something more about the teacher to present the comparative of the ajectives.
1.I love animals,a dog and a cat.Which is faster?
2.Yao Ming and Jordan are my favourite basketball stars.Who is taller?
3.Zhou Xun and Sun Yanzi are my favourite.Who is thinner?
4.Han Hong and Feifei,who is heavier?

6.Who is more athletic,Liu Xiang or Kong Linhui?
7.Who has longer/shorter hair,Coco or Gigi?
8.Who has bigger eyes,Ling Xingru or Fan Bingbing?
9.Who is more beautiful,A Sa or A Jiao?
Step 4 Listen
Get the Ss to listen to the tape and number the pictures.
Have the Ss to listen again and ask them to fill in the form.
Step 5 Task
1.Ask the Ss to work in pairs to compare the differences between them
by saying: I am… than you!
Have a competition between the boys and girls.
Step 6 Task
Ask the Ss to imagine how they will be 20 years later by drawing a picture for themselves.Share the pictures with the whole class and get them to say the difference between now and 20 years later.
Step 7 Task
Tell the Ss they will travel with the teacher together.But they have to solve two problems:
Which city to go to,Harbin or Shanghai?
How to go there,by car or by plane?
Have them discuss these two questions in groups of four and make a decision each group.
Get some to make a report.
Step 8
Share some English sayings with the Ss.
