But listening, speaking and writing will also be practiced in it.
And this lesson is the first one of unit 18, it is about what is beauty in your mind. Everyone admires beauty. Everyone has his own standard about beauty. So it is very important to the growth of a student and related to our daily life. To practice reading strategies for working out the meanings of words through context;
To learn and use vocabulary related to “beauty”; and practice expressing one’s opinion;
To talk about “beauty” in one’s eyes;
To make a summary of “What’s Beauty”.Knowledge Objects: But more importantly, I will teach the Ss some ways of learning English. Because I think ways are more important than just remembering some language points. And I hope the Ss can enjoy themselves while learning. (1) To improve students’ reading abilities such as skimming, scanning, comprehending etc. and train the students’ listening, and speaking abilities.
(2) Through different tasks, students’ communicative and cooperative abilities will also be well trained;Ability objects:(3) According to the new concepts of new curriculums, to show students how to learn is much more important than to give knowledge. So I will make the Ss the real masters in class while the teacher myself acts as the director, and teach them some effective ways, rather than just ask them to remember some words and expressions. And I believe this will help lay the good foundation for their future learning and lifelong learning. Because this lesson is about beauty, so I hope after learning this lesson, students can get to know that a person’s inner beauty is much more important than physical beauty. And students can become more sensitive to the beauty around them.
What’s more, in class I will try my best to make the Ss enjoy themselves while learning so that we can enjoy a happy and harmonious atmosphere in class. I believe this is a real beauty in our real life. Moral Objects:The blackboard
