Unit 3 Founding your way( Period2 Reading)
I.Teaching goals:
To understand the whole meaning of the event according to the pictures on PPT.
To remember the useful expressions.
To identify specific details by following aroute and making points on a map.
II.Important and difficult points:

III.Teaching steps
Step1.Revision:
Show a Chinese map to students and ask them to tell the directions (south north east west )Then teacher does some actions and ask students to guess the meanings (turn right turn left )
Step2.Presentation:
Show some more pictures to students and help students understand the meaning. (police station robber ring drive) Then ask students to read the story quickly to get the whole meaning of this article.
Using the PPT to help students learn the article and give some explanations about some difficult language points.
Step3.Practice:
After learning the story, students should do the exercise on Page45 B1 to understand the meaning of each word an phrase.
Listen to the tape and then answer the folowing questions:
How many people are there in the story?
Who are they?
Do the twins go to the police station?
Step4.Consolidation:
Read the article again and do the exercise on Page45 B2.
Ask students to read it.
Group work: Three students in a group to read the article,try to draw Justin’sand Paul’s route to the police station on the map,then check the answers.
Work in three,one is an interviewer,the other two are Justin and Paul,finish exerciseC1
Step5.Homework
Write a story about Justin and Paul’s lucky escape.
Learn the new words and phrases.
Act out the article.
