在句中做定语，修饰一个名词或代词，它的作用相当与一个形容词.被修饰的名词,词组或代词即先行词。定语从句通常出现在先行词之后，由关系词（关系代词或关系副词）引出。 (which, who, whom, that, whose)Which引导的定语从句

关系代词whose的用法whose经常后接名词，这结构可以用the+名词＋of+whom/which来替换，意义不变。e.g. Workers built shelters for survivors whose homes had been destroyed.Workers built shelters for survivors the homes of whom had been destroyed.关系代词引导定语从句时，要注意两点：
1.当关系代词作主语时不能省略；在口语中，作宾语时常常省略。
e.g. The man (whom) I saw yesterday came again this morning.
2. 当关系代词紧跟介词，做介词的宾语时，只可用whom或which, 此时的关系代词不能省略。{ There is a room in which you can study.
