Step1 Review
Greet the students and review:
Hello! Hi! Good morning/ afternoon/ evening.
- How are you
- I’m fine, thanks.
Step 2 Present
1 Greet one student and ask: What’s your name
Lead the student try to answer: I’m …/ My name is …
And greet the student: Nice to meet/ see you.
2 Ask some students the same question, then let them practice and act out.
3 Look at the picture in 1a, and find out the things they have learnt.
4 Listen to 1b and number the conversations. Then read after the tape.
Step 3 Practice
1 Ask one boy: What’s your name
After he has answered, ask another student: What’s his name
Lead the student try to answer: His name is …
Ask several students, and using the same way teach: What’s her name
2 Practice in pairs, and act out.
Step 4 Consolidation
1 Listen to 1b, and circle the names you hear.
2 Listen to 1a and number the pictures.
3 Read after the tape.
Step 5 Production
1 The students have a conclusion what they have learnt.
2 The teacher point out the important points.
3 Homework: According to 2c, make two new conversations.
