主要体现在以下3点:
1、 学习有关人物特点的单词:tall, thin, short, heavy, calm, wild, long hair, short hair, outgoing, quiet, funny, serious, smart, athletic, ect.
2、 学习人物比较的重要句型:
(1) Pedro is funnier than Paul.
(2) Tina is taller than Tara.
(3) Tom is more athletic than Sam.
3、 掌握语法点:the comparative degrees of adjectives (形容词的比较级)

知识目标 1.指导学生学习有关人物特点的单词、人物比较的表达及语法知识点“形容词的比较级”。
能力目标 2.培养学生运用形容词的比较级口头表达的能力和写作能力
德育目标 3.通过学习本课,增强师生、生生间的相互了解和沟通,教育学生学会比较,取长补短,以求提高进步。

Step1: warm-up
a. Greetings.
b. Show the students a flash named The more we get together on the screen.
Purpose : To arouse their interest and initiative.
Step2. Play guessing games.
Ask individual students to guess what he/she looks like .
Have a guessing competition between boys and girls .
Purpose : To get ready for the next step.
Step3. Presentation
T: Now we’re friends , so ,my friends are your friends.
Show some pictures on the screen and talk about them with some new words for Ss to guess the meanings of the new words , and get them to compare the differences by using the sentence patterns of A is _____ than B , C is ____ than D,then play a leading role to read them..
Purpose : To introduce the key vocabulary .
Step4. Show time (Pairwork)
Practice the sentence patterns have learnt above by using the pictures
e.g: A: Is the watermelon small
B: Yes, it is . But the apple is smaller than the watermelon.
Purpose :To provide vocabulary practice.
Step5. Listening Practice
T:I have so many friends , among them , there are 3 pairs of twins , let’s meet them .
Get Ss to listen to the tape, and find out the differences between them .
Do some listening practice
Purpose :To provide oral practice using target language.
Step6 Game time
1. Do a game called “Drag & drop”, just get the students to help the words on the left find their friends on the right , just macth them .
2. Read the the adjectives and their comparative forms on the blackboard .
Purpose :To consolidate the target language.
Step7. Grammar Time
Write the comparative forms of the adjectives and then put them into the right column.
Then call some students to conclude the rules when we put the adjectives into their comparative forms.
e.g. Why do you put them in the same form
Purpose :To consolidate the rules.
Step8. Show time
T: Now , you’ve met many of my friends , this time , I want to meet your friends , for your friends are my friends.
Ask students to introduce their friends to me , especially their deskmates to me , describe the differences between them
Step8. Evaluating time
Let’s see who has more apples , boys or girls
Step9. Homework
Ask the students to write a short passage about their friends & themselves . Describe the differences between them two .
