一、 学生分析
高一学生生理上正于青春期(16-17岁),心理上对于一切新鲜事物都容易产生好奇心及探索的欲望,尤其是对于英语语言的学习,由于学生的母语为汉语,所以容易对这种外来语言产生兴趣,并渴望用英语表达及获取知识。处于这一阶段的学生有较强的认知能力,和较强的自主学习意识,认识到本身的学习主体地位,逐渐由记忆性学习向认知性学习转变。
高一学生在完成九年义务教育后,已具备一定的听说读写的技能,奠定用英语进行交流的基础。在语言知识方面,已对英语学习中经常出现的几种时态有一定的了解并能简单运用。在阅读能力方面,学生基本上具备获取信息,处理信息及分析问题和解决问题的能力。
关于阅读的学习策略,学生已培养在阅读文章前先看问题,并根据常识猜测答案的习惯,且在阅读过程中根据上下文语境猜出个别生词的意思,同时,略读、找读与精读相结合,了解文章大意。
二、教材分析
本课是第三单元第三课(Unit 2.Lesson 3)。本单元围绕weddings这个话题,旨在通过学习两国的婚礼习俗,激发学生的学习热情,通过表演教堂里婚礼典礼的举行而感受婚礼的气氛,并针对学生在学习过程中结合实际考虑自己将来的婚礼,指导学生发表自己的见解和看法,从而有效地帮助学生树立正确的人生观和世界观。
Lesson 3 weddings是关于印尼的婚礼的习俗及希腊婚礼的过程,学生从中了解英语国家人们在行为举止和待人接物等方面与中国人的异同。培养学生了结并尊重异国文化,体现国际合作精神。
1. Reading
通过猜测的形式,让学生讨论印尼与希腊的婚礼,为阅读作好准备。要求学生快速浏览文章获取大意。
2. Read to learn.
让学生熟悉课文,并找出问题的答案。
3. Grammar: 复习情态动词的用法.
4. Vocabulary: 复习关键词的动名词形式.
教材重组:
把Before you start 作为Reading 的热身练习。把Before you start, Read to learn整合在一起上一节阅读课。

五、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-Up
First show students one picture of married couple and so introduce the topic of this lesson.
And then show the pictures on wedding and teach them read these words related to wedding. Immediately give them some time to finish one exercise to reinforce those words.
Step2 Act out
Ask three students to play roles of bride, bridegroom and priest. Attract the students’ interest on wedding.
Step3 Pre-read
Let the students guess the answers to true –or– false exercise, so they can read through the text with the questions.
Step4 Reading
Give students some time to read the two articles and divide them into two groups to get the answer to one exercise one on wedding in Indonesia. Then fill in the missing blanks on Greek Wedding after watching three pieces of film on Greek Wedding.
Step5 Discussion
Discuss the local wedding using the words they have learnt.
Step6 Homework
Writing: make a plan of their future wedding by using the words they have learnt.
