（1） 学生分析
（1）本班学生在通过高一一年四个模块的学习后，已经掌握了一定的词汇、语法知识，并具备了一定的表达能力，大部分学生能积极探索适合自己学习英语的方法，对语言产生了敏感度，基本能通过交流合作学习的方法发现语言规律，但仍有小部分学生停留在机械性记忆的学习阶段，学习很吃力且导致学习热情的下降。
（2）已掌握的语言知识
学生在学习本课之前已完成了Unit 14前两课的学习，且在上一单元中也涉及到了工作与个性方面的知识，掌握了一定量的关于描述个人品质的词汇，也曾经对如何才能取得成功进行过课堂讨论。此外，他们在初中已学习转述语的用法，这些都为本课的学习大下了基础。
（2） 教材分析
（1）本课是北师大版高中英语教材Unit 14 Lesson 3 The Road to Success 的第一课时
（2）本单元前两课都已涉及到对自己未来职业的选择、规划和参加面试的信息，本课继续围绕单元主题Careers 并结合了上一单元关于personality 的一些信息，学一篇关于一个记者成功之路的文章，课文较长，句式较多，但理解难度不大，本人通过穿插若干学生熟悉的成功者的图片，引导他们思考一个人成功路上的决定因素。本课采用了Movie Maker 和PowerPoint 两种软件制作课件。
（三）教学目标
教学的主要任务是对主人公之所以取得成功所具备的品质进行了解并以之为榜样，学习相关的语言及词汇。
通过阅读，帮助学生积累若干短语词组，如：dream of, pay off, so long as 及复习强调句式用法；培养阅读能力及信息归纳能力，和用英语表达相关话题的能力。
（四）教学策略
（1）以movie maker 制作的视频资料及优雅的音乐引入新课，激发许是兴趣，同时复习关于个性方面的词汇，并穿插关于成功的谚语。
（2）采用任务式教学方法，以多种形式考查学生对课文的掌握和理解程度。
（3）多媒体教学，导入相关图片
（五）教学过程
1． Lead-in
（1）视频显示两分钟，各行业中较成功的人物，引导学生讨论，为后面的教学活动准备。（插入与成功相关的谚语）
（2）导入相关人物图片，学生讨论他们佩服的成功者及原因，同时引入个别心新单词，通过图片直观学习单词。
（3）Brainstorming
讨论“假如你是GDTV的一名记者，想事业取得成功，你应该具备怎样的品质，引导学生对课文进行猜测。
2． Fast-reading
跟着录音快速浏览文章，掌握文章大意，并以查读方式寻找问题答案。（group work，小组形式就6个关于文章表层信息进行答案查找，以抢答方式回答得分，必须指明在哪一段出现）
3． Further reading
（1）（individual work）学生仔细阅读文章，并完成句子（句子中应填入的短语为本课新学内容，结合相应的中文解释，让学生独立从课文中找出这些短语，并通过练习自己得出这些短语的用法，教师给予适当讲解）
（2）（pair work同桌2人或三人阅读并讨论）
查找、归纳信息：指导学生根据关键词理解课文，填充personal data 表格中的有关信息。
4． Interview
4人为一个小组，对课文细节再一次了解，4个人中一个是Wang Juanyan 的母亲，其他3人是好朋友，班中的其他同学都是记者，可就课文内容任意提问，组员依次回答采访问题，由此实现对文章大意的复述。
