课文讲解
一般现在时的用法
表示一种习惯性的、永久性的或者反复发生的动作。
例如：I go to school every day.我每天上学。
一般现在时的应用特点
1）因为一般现在时主要强调存在的习惯，经常发生的动作或存在的状态，所以句子中常出现频度副词always（总是），often（经常），usually（通常），sometimes（有时），seldom（很少），every day（每天），once a week（每周一次）等。
The old man takes a walk after supper every day.
这位老人每天晚饭后散步。
2）在表示主语的特征，性格，能力时，首先考虑一般现在时：
He has a big nose.他长了个大鼻子。（长相特征）
3）遇到客观事实或者普遍真理时一定要用一般现在时：
The earth moves round the sun.地球围绕着太阳转。（事实）
4）在时间、条件状语从句中表示将来的动作，此时，主句用将来时态：
If he is out, I'll call tomorrow.如果他出去了，我明天给他打电话。（条件状语从句用一般现在时，主句用一般将来时态。）
如果我有时间，明天就给他写信。（条件状语从句用一般现在时，主句用将来进行时态。）
5）遇到go， come， leave， start等，应马上想到这些词是表示来去的动词，分析一下句子，看看句子是否是表示安排或计划好的将来的动作，如果是，那么就要用一般现在时：
①He sets out for the city at seven o'clock next morning. 他明天早晨七点钟出发前往那座城市。（set out 是出发、前往的意思，并且句中的时间状语是next morning，故set out应为一般现在时态。）

地球围绕太阳转。

此句是真理性的句子。这样的句子在英语中永远用一般现在时表示The sun rises in the east.　太阳从东方升起。
另外sun, earth, moon等都是独一无二的，在使用时前面加the。如：
in the sky 在空中
