首先，感谢城东片教研活动给我这次学习和锻炼的机会，让我们几个学校的老师今天欢聚一堂，共同来探讨和交流如何提高英语课堂的有效性。课堂是教师最重要的教学阵地，是学生获取信息，提高能力和养成一定思想观念的主要渠道，如何在40分钟内发挥最大的课堂效益，使课堂教学更有效，是每个教师都在苦心探索研究的。下面我就围绕我这节课谈一谈。
一、说教材：
今天我上课的内容是PEP小学英语五年级上册Unit4What can you do 包括Let’s learn和Let’s talk。本单元的话题是家务活。功能是运用句型来介绍自己力所能及的事情及句型来询问别人能力,并在此基础上培养学生自主学习和独立运用所学语言去做事情的能力.本课内容是本单元的基础,与日常生活息息相关,学习中易于理解.
二、说教学目标：
知识目标：
（1）能够听、说、认读动词词组empty the trash和句子“I'm helpful! I can sweep the floor等．”
（2）能够听、说、读、写动词词组cook the meals, water the flowers, sweep the floor, clean the bedroom。
（3）能够初步掌握句型：Are you helpful at home Sure. What can you do I can …
能力目标：能把本课所学的动词词组运用到实际交际中去。
情感目标：增强学生生活的自理能力,培养乐于助人的好品质.
三、说教学重、难点：
1．本课时教学重点是有关家务劳动的五个动词词组。
2．本课时教学难点是四个动词词组的书写以及运用句型Are you helpful at home Sure. What can you do I can … 进行表述
四、说教法、学法：
（一） TPR活动法
用TPR活动法生动愉快地让学生适应上课，开始进入状态，同时更是一个对以前的学习内容的复习，为下面的学习内容做铺垫，为学生展开新内容提供知识基础，也为课堂气氛增色不少。
（二）词不离句、单词与句子教学相结合:每一个单词或词组出现后作相应的运用，以及替换练习，这是一种语言的内化和创造过程，使学生更易接受和理解单词，并有利于单词的运用以及接下来的会话教学。
（三）分组学习法：对全班学生进行分组，分成Group A ，Group B和 Group C三个大组，在互动中互相启发产生思维的碰撞，同时注意保证每个学生都有机会参与学习、而培养学生和伙伴合作的意识和策略，提高人际交往能力。学生也在独立与合作的交织中调控了自身的学习，变得自信、自强。
五、说教学过程
本堂课我大体上分为五大块；
（一）热身和复习
安排Greeting， Let’s do.
这一过程既是学生复习旧的语言知识，为下一步学习作好铺垫，：以问候与活动的方式让学生摆脱紧张和拘束的感觉,也是通过TPR活动让学生把所有的注意力集中到课堂中来，为英语学习创造了一种良好的氛围。
（二）新课呈现
1，利用warming up中的各种动物，做相应头饰，教师示范“I am a bird, I can fly!”运用复习旧知引出新知，让全班学生问 “Bird, bird, what can you do ”引出What can you do I can ...
2﹑用动物elephant的自我介绍引出“helpful”和 “Are you helpful ”句式。让学生问“Elephant，elephant，what can you do ”Elephant回答出示第一个词组sweep the floor，然后我利用卡通图片以及身体语言教读几次，出示I'm helpful! I can sweep the floor并教读，再拼写词组。然后依次教读water the flowers， empty the trash。之后又利用elephant的好友squirrel和bear引出词组cook the meals和clean the bedroom。
(三)趣味操练
1、 Pair work
要求学生两人一组问问能干些什么，操练句型What can you do I can ...。2﹑ Let’s chant
教师自编chant并与动作相结合进一步巩固了本课的新知识I can . cook the meals / water the flowers / sweep the floor /clean the bedroom / empty the trash。.
(四)巩固和延伸部分
招聘小管家
教师为招聘者，全体学生为应聘人员。操练句型Are you helpful at home Sure. What can you do I can… 然后再进行小组活动。
这个活动鼓励学生将所学语言运用到实际生活中，开发学生的思维，促进其语言和思维能力的发展。
(五) 总结与评价阶段。
分享学生的胜利果实，看谁被录取，和他们一起体验成功的喜悦。
我还想和同仁们共同探讨一下，课堂活动的趣味性与有效性到底如何才能更好的得到有效的统一呢？
有效的课堂教学离不开一系列有效的设计。如何提高小学英语课堂教学的有效性，让孩子与课堂快乐地一起飞翔是我们教育永恒的话题。

2．准备录音机及录音带。
四、Teaching procedures：
Step1．Warm－up
播放三年级第四单元Let’s do 部分录音，让学生边听边做动作。复习旧的语言知识，为下一步学习作好铺垫。
Step2. Presentation
1、才艺表演。
利用warming up中的各种动物，做相应头饰，教师示范“I am a bird, I can fly!”让全班学生问 “Bird, bird, what can you do ”引出What can you do I can ...
2、利用CAI引出一位能干的（helpful）动物——elephant. 点击课件，让elephant自我介绍 Hello, boys and girls. I’m elephant. I’m helpful. 新授单词helpful及句式Are you helpful 让学生问“Elephant, elephant, what can you do ”Elephant回答出示第一个词组sweep the floor, 利用卡通图片以及身体语言教读几次, 然后依次教读water the flowers, empty the trash.
Step3. Pair work
要求学生两人一组问问能干些什么，操练句型What can you do I can ...
Step4. Presentation
同样的方法利用elephant的好友squirrel和bear引出词组cook the meals和clean the bedroom新授词组，并配以身体动作。
