Unit 4 What can you do?第一课时
一、学生分析
本次任务型活动课适合小学五年级的学生。五年级学生具有贪玩、好动、好奇心强,爱表现自己的特点。他们已经学过了四年的英语,已经具备了一定的基本知识和技能,对基本的课堂用语,教师的指令已经基本掌握,在图片或多媒体课件的帮助下能听懂、读准英语单词和句子。在教师的指导下能做一系列任务活动。
二、教材分析
本课时是小学英语PEP教材五年级上册Unit4 Part A let’s learn的内容。这是一篇十分贴近学生生活的课文,因为做家务是生活中很频繁的事。抓住这一点,设计一系列的任务活动容易激发学生的学习兴趣,让学生在学习英语的同时,用英语解决实际生活中的问题。
三、教学设计
(一)教学目标与要求:
1、知识目标:掌握5个家务劳动词组cook the meals, sweep the floor, clean the bedroom, water the flowers, empty the trash.及表达I’m helpful .I can...
2、能力目标:能简单介 绍自己能做那些家务劳动。
3、情感目标:养成讲究卫生,热爱劳动的好习惯,在家能帮家人做些家务。
(二)教学重点:四会词组的掌握及“What can you do?”和“I’m helpful. I can ... .”的运用。
(三)教学难点:empty the trash 的发音。
(四)课前准备
1.教师准备教学过程中所需要的词条、英文卡片、课件。
2.教师准备录音机及录音带。
(五)教学过程
1. Warm-up

(2)T: Let’s do some warming up exercises. Please stand up! Follow me, let’s do! Fly, fly , I can fly (swim /run /jump)然后听指令做动作,now, listen to me and you do the actions. Here we go.进行简单的热身活动,引起学生的兴趣 ,并给予适当的鼓励。(Well done.)
2. Presentation
1)T: Do you like Sundays?
Ss: Yes.
T: Do you want to know what can I do on Sundays ?
Ss: Yes.
T: Ok. Ask me, Miss Xu , Miss Xu ,what can you do?
(呈现句子“what can you do?”并操练后,提示学生向老师提问)
Ss: Miss Xu , Miss Xu ,what can you do?
T: I can do many things. Look. (课件展示一张教师在包水饺的图片后,让学生猜教师在做什么,后将helpful重点呈现,中文意思注明)引出“ I’m helpful.”
“helpful”及 “I’m helpful”操练。
2)点击课件,播放自己整理房间的图片。

T: Look, I’m helpful, I can clean the bedroom. 词条呈现“clean the bedroom”并操练.(个读—组读—集体读)

点击课件,呈现教师扫地的照片。T: I’m helpful. I can sweep the floor.
词条呈现“sweep the floor”并操练:I’m helpful, I can sweep the floor.(大小声读)

同上播放自己倒垃圾的视频,T:I’m helpful. I can empty the trash. 并操练(限读次数,小组PK)

T:Oh, I’m hungry. I want to eat some food. Look. 同上播放自己做菜的视频,I’m helpful, I can cook the meals. 引出并操练。(分隔切音读,小组PK)
6) T: I have a friend. Her name is Lily. Do you want to know what can she do?
Ss: Yes.
T: Ask her.
Ss: Lily ,Lily , what can you do?
同上播放自己浇花的照片,T:look, I’m helpful, I can water the flowers. 并操练(限读次数,小组PK)
3. Practice
(1)A guessing game
Please look at my mouth , guess what am I saying?(看嘴型猜出相应的动词短语,并给予猜对的同学以鼓励。
(2)T: Now take out your paper. I ask you answer.(对学生进行提问,让学生根据所发到的词条进行回答)
(3)pair work

S2: I can … (讲学生分为2组,在1分钟内哪组操练的人数多哪组获胜)
注:课前发给学生每人一张写有本课时所学五个词组其中一个的词条,要求学生根据手中的词条来回答。
4.Consolidation and extension(巩固与扩展)
(1)快速反应
利用CAI或图片依次出现kitchen, bedroom, garden, living-room .学生每看到一副图就要快速说出一个与此图有关的词组。如:看到kitchen 学生可说:cook the meals. 当然,答案并不是唯一的,学生可以用上以前所学的各种短语或句子。如:看到kitchen还可说 have a snack; 看到 bedroom可以说have a sleep, clean the bedroom, sweep the floor等。尽可能地培养学生的发散思维能力。
(2)自编chant
Go to the kitchen. Cook the meals.
Go to the living-room. Sweep the floor.
Go to the bedroom. Clean the bedroom.
Go to the garden. Water the flowers.
Go to the outside. Empty the trash.

(3)Group work
