Unit 4 What can you do?第一课时
一、学生分析
本次任务型活动课适合小学五年级的学生。五年级学生具有贪玩、好动、好奇心强，爱表现自己的特点。他们已经学过了四年的英语，已经具备了一定的基本知识和技能，对基本的课堂用语，教师的指令已经基本掌握，在图片或多媒体课件的帮助下能听懂、读准英语单词和句子。在教师的指导下能做一系列任务活动。
二、教材分析
本课时是小学英语PEP教材五年级上册Unit4 Part A let’s learn的内容。这是一篇十分贴近学生生活的课文，因为做家务是生活中很频繁的事。抓住这一点，设计一系列的任务活动容易激发学生的学习兴趣，让学生在学习英语的同时，用英语解决实际生活中的问题。
三、教学设计
（一）教学目标与要求：
1、知识目标：掌握5个家务劳动词组cook the meals, sweep the floor, clean the bedroom, water the flowers, empty the trash.及表达I’m helpful .I can...
2、能力目标：能简单介 绍自己能做那些家务劳动。
3、情感目标：养成讲究卫生，热爱劳动的好习惯，在家能帮家人做些家务。
（二）教学重点：四会词组的掌握及“What can you do?”和“I’m helpful. I can ... .”的运用。
（三）教学难点：empty the trash 的发音。
（四）课前准备
1．教师准备教学过程中所需要的词条、英文卡片、课件。
2．教师准备录音机及录音带。
（五）教学过程
1． Warm－up

(呈现句子“what can you do?”并操练后，提示学生向老师提问)

T: I can do many things. Look. (课件展示一张教师在包水饺的图片后，让学生猜教师在做什么，后将helpful重点呈现，中文意思注明)引出“ I’m helpful.”
“helpful”及 “I’m helpful”操练。
2）点击课件，播放自己整理房间的图片。

3. Practice
(1)A guessing game
Please look at my mouth , guess what am I saying?(看嘴型猜出相应的动词短语，并给予猜对的同学以鼓励。
（2）T: Now take out your paper. I ask you answer.（对学生进行提问，让学生根据所发到的词条进行回答）
（3）pair work

S2: I can … (讲学生分为2组，在1分钟内哪组操练的人数多哪组获胜)
注：课前发给学生每人一张写有本课时所学五个词组其中一个的词条，要求学生根据手中的词条来回答。
4．Consolidation and extension（巩固与扩展）
(1)快速反应
利用CAI或图片依次出现kitchen, bedroom, garden, living-room .学生每看到一副图就要快速说出一个与此图有关的词组。如：看到kitchen 学生可说：cook the meals. 当然，答案并不是唯一的，学生可以用上以前所学的各种短语或句子。如：看到kitchen还可说 have a snack; 看到 bedroom可以说have a sleep, clean the bedroom, sweep the floor等。尽可能地培养学生的发散思维能力。
（2）自编chant
