soap.
Experts say people around the world wash their hands but very few use soap at so—Called critical(关键的)moments. These include after using’the toilet, after cleaning a baby and before touching food.
Global Hand washing Day is the idea of the Public-Private Partnership for Hand washing
with Soap.Partners include the United Nations Children’s.Fund,American government
agencies, the World Bank and soap makers Unilever and Protect and Gamble. The goal, they
say,is to create a culture of hand washing with soap.

and cover them with soap.Rub it into all areas, including under the fingernails.Rub for at
least twenty seconds. Then, wash well under running water. Finally, dry your hands with a
clean cloth or wave them in the air.
The Partnership for Handwashing says soap is important because it increases the time
that people spend washing.Soap also helps to break up the grease(油脂)and dirt that hold
most of the germs. And it usually leaves a pleasant smell, which increases the likelihood
that people will wash again.
The partnership says washing with soap before eating。and after using the toilet could
save more lives than any vaccine or medicine. It could help reduce cases of diarrhea(腹泻)by
almost half. And it could reduce deaths from pneumonia(肺炎)and other breathing infec—
tions by one fourth. diarrhea is the second, leading cause of child deaths, killing more than a half million children a year, Penumonia is the leading cause, killing about two million children under five each year,Hand wshing can also prevent the spread of their diseases.

Good morning everyone,
In today’s world, being able to master a foreign language will be:helpful in our life.
Here I’d like to share with you my opinions about my English learning.。First of all。I
think it useful to learn some grammar and remember as many useful sentence patterns as I
can.As we all know, the more we read, the better our English will be.So I spend much
time reading English newspapers and magazines after class, which helps to improve my English.Besides,TV and radio programmers are of great help for my listening.
Learning English not only increases my awareness of foreign cultures but also helps me
to communicate with English-speaking people and to make more new friends.
However, sometimes I get discouraged because I keep forgetting words I have learned.
And I also find some English pronunciations rather confusing. I would appreciate it if you
could。give me some advice on how to learn,English better.
Thank you !

M:People always say that Chinese is very hard to learn.Sometimes l wish 1 were learning
French or Japanese.Maybe they’d be easier.
W:Maybe, but maybe not.It all depends on what language you already speak.
M:Why should that be What difference does it make
W:Well' languages are more or less equally difficult. Most of the things one language says
must be said by every language in some way.
M:You mean I could learn Chinese easily
W:No,because your native language is Spanish. But Italian might be easy.It has a lot of
words that are similar to words in Spanish.Even the sound system is more similar than
that of Chinese is to Spanish. How difficult a language is to learn depends mostly on how
much it resembles your own language.

MY friends! Here is my advice about computers.
Now the computer has become a good friend of us children. It has made our life more
colorful. We can get information fast with its help.Through the Internet we can talk with
people thousands of miles away.
However,it has its disadvantages. It gives us some trouble.I’m afraid that we spend a
bit too much time playing computer games in front of the screen. Our health and studies are
getting worse. Our parents are beginning to worry about us.In addition,we surely have
less time left to get together with others. In this case, the computer is taking away our human nature.
My suggestion is that we should use the computer to improve our life and work on one
hand, and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air with our friends on the other.
