Period 1 ( Part A)
1.Warm-up:
*Greeting.
* Daily talk .
2.Revision and presentation.
Use the pictures of a room and talk about what’s in the room . Then revise the furnitures in the room . Tell the pupils there’s a bed in the room . It’s a bedroom . It’s a room for sleeping .
3.Learn New Materials:
Prepare some pictures of furniture in the rooms .
* Teach the new words. (Use CAI)
* Draw the outline of a flat on the board . Introduce the names of the rooms by putting the paper furniture for each room . And say , This is a bedroom . We sleep in the bedroom . This is a bathroom . We wash in the bathroom . ect . Write the names of the rooms on the board and teach them for the pupils .
Practice:
* Go over the new words.
Read the new words like in rhym :
Bedroom , bedroom , we sleep in the bedroom .
Bathroom , bathroom ,we wash in the bathroom .
Living room , living room , we talk in the living room .
Dining room , dining room , we eat in the dining room .
Kitchen , kitchen , we cook in the kitchen .
* Point to the room in the flat ,and repeat Pat and Koko’s speech bubbles . Ask the pupils to repeat the words .
* Tell the pupils to point to rooms and ask and answer What’s this ? It’s a …
* Ask the pupils to work in pairs . They each draw a room with some furniture in it . Then they ask each other about their rooms .
5. Sum –up
* Sum up what have learnt this class.
Read the sentences on the blackboard.
* Ask the pupils to listen to the tape Part A then repeat .
