Presentation
1. Today is a sunny day, so Mr. Horse, Miss Cow and Mrs. Pig want to eat out. Let’s see what happen to them.
Play the video
Play the video again and the whole class read after the video, then I ask three pupils as a group to come to the platform to act the story. (give the pupils the masks)
Look at the screen, explain the sentences of the text:
You don’t look very well
I don’t feel hungry. Add the phrase: feel hungry/ thirsty/ well
The food there is great! Add the useful sentences: you are great! It is great!
The pupils read these sentences group by group.
Tell the pupils to use these sentences to appreciate somebody or something in their daily lives.
Ask the pupils to fill the blank of part D. Two pupils as a pair to ask and answer the questions in part D.
Just now Mr. Horse, Miss Cow and Mrs. Pig have reached the restaurant, they sit down and want to order dishes.(show a picture of a restaurant on the screen) What should they say? Ask four pupils to come to the platform and act. (one as Mr. horse, one as Miss Cow, one as Mrs. Pig and one as the waiter/ waitress). Give the pupils masks and the menus. Tell the pupils some key sentences: “What would you like?” “I’d like ---- ”

III. Presentation
Show the following pictures:
A family tree (niece), a thief, a handkerchief, a chief
Point to the picture and write the words (niece, thief, handkerchief, and chief) under the pictures. Ask the pupils to point out the same part of these words. Tell the pupils the sound of “ie”, ask the pupils to read after the teacher.
Play the Pupil’s Book Cassette
Chant the poem the whole class. Give the whole class three minutes to recite the poem. Ask the pupils come to the platform to chant with music.
Play the Pupil’s Book Cassette again, ask the pupils to listen and circle the same letters with the same sound.
Show anther two pictures of “field” and “piece”. Ask some pupils to tell the sound of these two words.
Ⅳ Show a picture of a family eating out at the restaurant.
Play the Pupil’s Book Cassette again
After listening, ask the pupils to act the father, the mother and the son/ daughter and chant. Act and chant several times.
Ⅴ After the chanting, I ask the pupils: “ It is very easy, isn’t it?” …… “So, we call this a piece of cake! It is a piece of cake.” Ask the pupils to look at the picture of the book, and say: “ Do you think easy? Good, now we also can say it is a piece of cake!” Ask pupils to guess the meaning of “a piece of cake”. Ask the pupils to circle the correct answer.

Talking about the delicious apple to lead out the sentence “I like the …” and “what do you like”. Then ask some of them to draw the food they like best on the blackboard. Then talk about the food they draw .
Presentation
1.Talking about the delicious food then tell them I am hungry now, then ask them are you hungry, do you like … ,are you thirsty ,do you like …?
2.We are all hungry, so let us go to the restaurant to have the food
3.sing a song “the driver on the bus” to act like we get on the bus and we are on the way to the restaurant.
4.show the picture of the restaurant and say we arrive at the restaurant and show the menu of the new phrases of the food via the powerpoint.

Ask what would you like and point to one kind of food and the pupils answer the questions, then ask the groups then ask someone. Do this for several times.
