Period 5: FPeriod 1: Teach Part ABrainstorming. Can you think of some words that express feelings?
Teach new words by bringing in some photos and talking with the Ss about my traveling experiences.
e.g. I traveled to London last year. When I walked in Hyde park I saw a black thing under a tree. It could move. It was frightening. After a while it jumped in front of me. It was a squirrel! How lovely it is! Then I tried to feed it and it ate in my hand. I was so exciting.
Show the words: frightening,exciting. frightening

interesting: I want to play computer games. That’s interesting.
comfortable: The sofa is comfortable.

4. Read these new words for several times then encourage the Ss to make sentences using these words individually.
Give them some examples as a guide.
5. Play the video and let the Ss watch the film of Part A.
6. Give the Ss tasks before they watch the film the second time.
Tasks: pair work
a) listen carefully and read after the recording.
b) ask and answer: where do these children want to go? What do they want to do there? What do they feel?

7. Show a map of the world on the board. Organize a four members group work.
Tasks: a) Choose a place and tell your group members where you want to go and what you want to do there.

b) Make a dialogue with your group members using the new words.
c) Group report to the class.
8. Homework: collect pictures from newspapers or magazines. Decide where you would like to go on a summer holiday and think about what you could do there.Period 2: Teach Part B1Teach the possessive pronouns.
a) Take my textbook and some pencil cases from the Ss. Ask the Ss “ whose pencil case is it? Whose book is it? Whose are these?” Then distribute these objects to the owners saying: this is hers.this is his.this is yours.these are ours.those are theirs.etc.
b) Show the words on the screen and make sure the Ss grasp the true meaning.
c) Pair works. Tasks: i)make sentences using these possessive pronouns. ii) report to the class.mine—my book This is mine. ---- This is my book.

2.Play the video and give the Ss tasks before they watch it.
Tasks: a) listen and say.
b) help the tour guides find their group’s bags by choosing the correct picture.
c) fill in the blanks: Ken’s bag is ____ and ____. Brenda’s bag is ____ and ____. Mr and Mrs Sun’s bag is ____ and ____. The ____ and ____ one is the woman’s.
3. Practice the possessive pronouns.
Ask the Ss bring in some bags and put them on the teacher’s desk. Let the Ss write the characters of their bags. e.g. it’s big. It’s blue…
c) Invite more Ss to do the same.
4.Practice more: Group work.
a) let the Ss take out more objects and put them together, then each student describe the details of hisher objects in turn and let one student distinguish each belongings saying “this is yours. This is his. This is hers. This is mine. These are ours. Those are theirs. etc.”
b) Role play Part B1.
b) Let two Ss act as tour guides and find the bags according to the clues. Then give each bag to the owner saying: this bag is Judy’s. it’s her bag. It’s hers.Period 3:Teach B2&B3 Pre-teach activity. Oral work.
? a)Bring in a poster of Xiaomeisha Park. Tell the Ss that we’re going to there for a tour today and ask them what specific place they want to be and what they want to do there. Ask them “why?” Encourage the Ss to use the new words in Part A.
e.g. I want to go to the Sea World and watch dolphin show.
b)Let a student show a picture of another attraction to the class and do the same as you.( Ask the classmates questions as the teacher did.)
c)Repeat this process for several times.
Tasks:i) read B2 and discuss about what Sun family would say.
ii) listen to the recording twice and fill in the blanks.
iii) check your answers and report to the class.

2. finish the sentences in section 2. tell them to use his and hers.
3. pair work: tasks: a) ask questions in section 3.
b) write down the answers.
c) ask more questions about their holidays.
d) do a report to the class.
4.write an email.
a) Tick the boxes in the questionnaire in section 4 according to what you would like to do on holiday.
b) Pretend you have been on your holiday and use your questionnaire to complete the email in section 5.

a) (Books closed.) Listen to the chant. Encourage the Ss to keep the chant in mind.
b) Ask the Ss “ what did you hear?” Let the Ss say the chant according to their memory.
c) (Books opened.) Read the chant.
d) Group competition. See which group can recite the chant.

a)??? write the symbols on the board and play the tape. Ask the Ss to tell the different sounds of the two symbols.

4. Complete Grace’s notes.
5. Introduce the world to your classmates.
Let the Ss show their collections and make simple introduction in English.
6.Write an email.
Choose an interesting place and write an email imitate Grace’s to your classmate.
7. Homework: if you receive any emails, write one as Pat did.
