The first period
Step1. Greetings
Step2. Organization (Sing a song)
Step3. Warming-up
1. Free talk.
2. Ask and answer questions to revise unit 1-3.
Step4. Presentation
1. Ask the students to write down the new words they have learned from units 1-3to create their own word bank.
2. Tell the students to choose from their word bank and write down their favourite words.
3. Ask the students if they have learned any other words by themselves. If they have, tell them to write the words in the notebook.
4. Ask the students to read through units 1-3again. Try to find out their favourite sentences and then write them down.
5. Ask the students if they find any words or sentences are difficult for them. Tell them to keep a record of those difficult words and sentences and to revise them later.
Step5. Practice
1. Ask the pupils to full in the blanks.
2. Ask individual pupils to read aloud their sentences with the whole class.

The second period

1. Pretend that I have a toothache. Ask the student what’s wrong with me What should I do Where should I go
2. Explain that Mary has a toothache too. She is at the dentist’s office. Play the pupil’s book cassette.
3. ask the students to read jack’s diary. Explain that the passage is about jack’s activities on a rainy Sunday. Then tell the pupils to choose the words in the box to complete his diary.
Step5. Practice
1. Play the pupil’s book cassette. Ask the pupils to listen to the cassette and check their answers.
2. Ask the students to fill in the blanks with the correct words.
3. Ask individual students to read aloud their sentences to check the answers with the whole class.
Step6. Homework

3. Show the paper strips to the class and ask them read out and act accordingly .
4. Play the CD and explain to the students that Mr Li is talking to his daughter on the phone and then ask some individuals to complete the conversation .
5. Let the class practise the conversation in pairs and then ask the students to role-play the conversation pair by pair .
6. Ask the class to make dialogues in pairs according to personal experience and then perform in the front of the classroom.

Teaching Aims: Reviewing and consolidating the phrases and sentences of Unit2,3
Teaching Steps:
1. Greetings and warming up.
2. Do part D1
1) Tell the student to look at Koko’s March calendar about her activities on different days.
2) Ask the students to read the sentences below the calendar and tell them some sentences are correct but some are not.
3) Ask the students to put a tick in the box if the sentence is correct.
4) Use transparency to check the students’ answers.
3. Do part D2
1) Tell the student to read the note written by Tom’s father to the teacher and look at the pictures.
2) Ask the students to number the pictures in the correct order and then write a sentence under each picture.
3) Ask individual students to read aloud their sentences to check the answers with the whole class.
