Period One(Unit 1-2)
Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Sing the song on P6 first
Step 2
1. Free talk about the student’s name, age, his family members.
2. Say hello or goodbye to sb.
3. Food they like and they don’t like.
Step 3 Revise the chant on P8
Step 4 Show the word cards, use the sentences: What’s this & What do you like to revise the words and the sentences.
Step 5 Read Unit 1-2 together.
Step 6 Show the word cards to the class and let them do the actions.
Step 7 Sing the song .
Step 8 Homework
Read Unit 1-2 three times and go over Unit 3-5.
Period Two(Unit 3-5)
Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Sing the song on P18 first
Step 2 Free talk
Step 3 Show the word cards, use the sentences: What’s this/ that &What do you like & Do you like… & Is this/ that a… & What colour is this to revise the words and the sentences in Unit 3&5.
Step 4 Revise the chant on P20, P26& P28.
Step 5 Show the word cards to the class and let them do the actions.
Step 6 Read Unit 3&5 together.
Step 7 Homework Read Unit 3&5 three times and go over Unit 6.
Period Three(Unit 6)
Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Revision Revise fruits we’ve learned: apple, orange, melon, watermelon, banana, strawberries, pears, peaches, grapes, cherries. Mangoes, pineapples and plums.
Step 2 Sing the song on P32.
Step 3 Show the word cards, use the sentences: What’s this/ that & What are these/ those & Is this/ that a/an… & Are these/ those… to revise the words and the sentences.
Step 4 Revise the chant on P34.
Step 5 Read Unit 6 together.
Step 6 Listen and draw.
Step 7 Homework Read Unit 6 three times and go over Unit 7-9.
Period Four (Unit 7-9)
Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Sing the song on P32 first.
Step 2 Read P36 vocabulary, then use the gesture to make the students clear “in, on, under”. Step 3 Use the things can be found in the classroom to revise the target on P36.
Step 4 Read Unit 7 together.
Step 5 Do the actions of “ look, pull, foot, push and cook”.
Step 6 Revise Unit 9 (Use a real clock to revise the time and practise the sentence.)
Step 7 Listen and draw out the correct time.
Step 8 Homework Read Unit 7-9 three times and go over Unit 10.
Period Five (Unit 10)
Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Revise numbers 1-29.
Step 2 Let the students talk with their friends freely.
Step 3 Sing the song in this unit.
Step 4 Show the word cards and the pictures, use the sentences: What’s this & What are these/ those & Do you like… & How many …s are there to revise the sentences.
Step 5 Read Unit 10 together.
Step 6 Revise the chant on P54 again.
Step 7 Homework Read Unit 10 three times and go over Unit 11.
Period Six (Unit 11)
Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Sing the song in Unit 10 first.
Step 2 Revise the sentence in Unit 10.
Step 3 Sing the song in Unit 11.
Step 4 Read Unit 11 together.
Step 5 Show the word cards, use the sentence: Do you/ they have… to revise the words and the sentence.
Step 6 Use the word cards to play a slap game.
Step 7 Do Activity 2.
Step 8 Homework Go over the whole book and prepare for the test.
