Unit 9 Are these blue socks your?
The second period
一、教学内容与分析:
1、 Let’s check听力练习检查学生对unit 8 所学内容的掌握情况。
2、 Let’s chant, 通过说有节奏、有韵律的歌谣学习与巩固本课所学的单词。
3、 Let’s sing. 通过歌曲的学习,激发的兴趣,巩固所学的单词。
4、 Let’s think. 通过联想,培养学生运用新单词的能力。
二 、教学目标:
1、 学会本课的八个新单词。( pajama, slipper, underwear, towel, key, money, handkerchief, swimsuit.)
2、 在一定的情景中运用本课的新单词。
3、 养学生的注意力,激发学生的积极思维,挖掘学生运用语言的创造能力。
三 、教具准备:
本课的单词图片;录音机;磁带。
四 、教学过程
Step 1 Revision
1. Ask and answer ( P.44.)
2. Listen ( words)
Step 2 presentation
Practice 1
Getting ready
T: Look at picture A. What are they talking about ( Point to the towel.) They’re talking about the towel.
T: ( Point to the keys in the picture B.) What are these Ss: They’re keys.
Continue with the rest.
Using the book
Have individual Ss read the four sentences aloud.
T: Let’s listen to the tape.
Play the tape for A. then pause.
Have Ss write A in the appropriate box.
Continue with the rest.
Practice 2
Getting ready
Have Ss look at the questions on the page.
T: A.( S1’s name), can you read the question S1: Whose underwear is this
Ask other Ss to read the other three questions.
Have all Ss practice reading aloud to themselves.
Circulate around the classroom to check on Ss.
Using the book
T: Now look at the picture for A. Whose underwear is this
Have one student answer. S2: It’s Tony’s.
Continue with the rest.
Put Ss in pairs to practice asking and answering.
Song activity
Getting ready
Have Ss look at the pictures around the lyrics.
T: ( point to Dad.) Who’s he Ss: He’s Dad/Mr. Green.What’s he holding Ss: He’s holding his towel.
Do the same with Mom’s picture.
Using the book
Ask in divdual Ss to read the lyrics.
T: Let’s sing the song! Let’s listen to the tape first.
Play the tape and point to each word as it is sung.
Play the tape again to two have Ss practice singing.
Divide the class into two groups. One group sings the answers. Then switch.
Look, read and write
Getting ready
Point to each picture and ask Ss questions.
T: Look at Jenny. What’s she wearing Ss: She has a towel her swimsuit. What does she have Ss: She has towel.
T: Look at Tony. What’s he wearing Ss: He’s wearing his pajamas and slippers.
Using the book
T: Look at A. (S1’s name), can you read the question S1: Is this Jenny’s swimsuit
T: (S2’s name), can you read the answer S2: Yes, it is. It’s Jenny’s swimsuit.
Ask individual Ss to ask and answer the other three questions.
Give Ss time to write the answers on the page.
Walk around the class to help Ss.
