They are good for you .
The second period :(Conversation,practice1and practice 2)
Teaching key points : …is good for you.
…is bad for you.
Target:Read conversation and do some exercise.
Teaching aids:tape –recorder,cards,pictures.
一、Greeting.
二、 Review
1、 Show the picture cards of vocabulary and ask some students to read.
2、Spell the words.
3、 Read target in pairs.
三、Read conversation .
1 、Getting ready.
Bring realia –green vegetables,fruit, candy .Show them to Ss.
(Point to the vegetables)What color are they Ss:They are green .
do the same with the rest of the realia.
Draw a fat boy and a slim girl on the board.
(point to the food)What food do you thing he/she eat (Have Ss point to the food accordingly.)
2 Using the book:
Have students look at the page.
Listen to the tape and read the story .
Have Ss follow the dialod by pointint to the sentences in their book.
(Point to the first picture)What is Gogoeatting (He is eating an ice-cream.)
Ask questions about the other pictures.
Listen to the tape again and repeat.
Play the tape ,pausing after each expression to have Ss repeat.
Put Ss into pairsand give them the roles of Gogoand jenny.
Encourage Ss to act out the dialog.
四、 Practice.
1、 Ask four students to write questions A-D on the board.
Ask four other Ss to read out the questions.
Listen to the tape.
Play the tape for A then pause .
T:What’s wrong with her (She had too much cake.)
Have Ss put a checkmark in the correct box.
Ask one student to write the answer oon the board.
Repeat the procedures with the other three questions.
2 Practice two .
have Ss look at the modelQ and A on the page.
Have Ss read them aloud foor the class.
Ask Ss to point to the picture.
Have Ss look at the picture on the page.
Get into pairs,ask each other question.
Walk aroung the classroom to see how Ss aree doing.
Ask some pairs to perform their Q and A exchanges for the class.
3、 Play a game.

Read the conversation.
六、Blackboard writing:
What are you eating
I’m eating ice-cream.
You should eat more healthy food.
