Unit 10 (Book eight )
We’rre going to go to Tibet.
The second period :conversation practice 1 and practice 2)
Target :Read the conversation and do some exercise.
Teaching key point:read the conversation.
Teaching aids: tape recorder ,cards pictures.
一、Greeting.
二、Review.
Use picture cards from SB 6 Unit 6.Review the cards with Ss.
T ask: What did you do on vacation
T: This is Tibet .Gogo,Tony and Jenny want to go to this place.
Where do you want to go
Have Ss answer the question,let them point to the place on the map if possible.
Ask some Ssto look at the picture on thee page.
(point to a picture)Where does Gogo want to go ( He wants to the beach.)
(point to the second picture)Where are Tony and Jenny going to go
They are going to go to a mountain.
三、 Read conversation.
Have Ss look at the page.
Listen to the tapy and read the story.
Play the tape again ,pausing after each sentences too have Ss repeat.
Encourage Ss too use the same voice expression as the characters.
Put Ss into three groups and give them the roles of Gogo .Tony,and Jenny.
Play the tape again ,pausing after each sentence for each group to repeat its part.
四、 Practice.
1、 Have four Ss read questionsA-D aloud.
Ask four other Ss to write the question on the board.
Listen to the tape.
Play the tape for A,then pouse.
How is he going to get there (The students answer.)
Have Ss put a checkmark in the correct box.
Ask one student write the answer on the board.
Repeat the procedures with the other three questions.
2 、Have Ss look at the mkodel Q and A on the page.
Have twwwo Ss read out the dialog for the class.
Have the Ss look at the table on the page.
T:Where are you going to go on vacation How are you going to get there
Help Ss with any problems.
Ask Ss to work in group of four .Ss put the names of their partners and their answers in the table.
Walk around the classroom to see how Ss are doing.
Ask some pairs to perform their Q and A exchanges for the class.
3、 Do some exercise on the little blackboard.
