一、课前播放英文歌曲“隐形超人”,营造、活跃学生学习英语的气氛。二、自主预习
1.利用课件中的word study预习生词
2.通读3a,运用教师导学,标记重点句,完成后面的练习,体会单词的用法

problem 指较难解决的难题或生活中的一些疑难问题;question常指易解决的或口头回答的“问题”.

find out & look for, find
find out(研究、努力的结果)发现,查出,找出;look for 强调寻找的过程; find强调寻找的结果。

3) Everyone else in my class was invited except me .
a) else &other else修饰不定代词,且后置,other修饰名词,放在名词前。
b) was invited 是一般过去时的被动语态,“被邀请”的意思,下学期再重点学习,本课中做到理解即可。
c) except & besides , except for ,but
except表示从一类的整体中排除一部分; besides表示“除…之外还有”,是一种累加关系; except for则引述了一个相反的原因或细节,部分地修正句子中的意思; but表示“除了”时,只用于nothing ,everybody等词后 .
e.g. We go to school every day except Sunday .
Many other students like playing football besides Jack.
The passage is good except for the ending .
There is nothing but a card in the box.

5) lonely kid
lonely & alone
lonely 是形容词,带有一定的感彩,强调内心的孤独和寂寞;alone 既做形容词,又可以做副词,做形容词时无感彩,只强调独自一人的事实。
e.g. The old man is alone , but he doesn’t feel lonely .
The boy lived alone in a small village .

(Role play . One student plays the part of A and the others play the part of B and give him/her their advice. After that , the leader of each group read their group’s advice in front of the class and see which group will be the best!)
