Since most students know how to ride bicycles, ask them if they want to know the English names for parts of a bicycle.Explain that most English speakers shorten this word to “bike”.Hold up the big picture of the bike . As the students name each part, introduce the English word for the part . Write them on the blackboard . Remind the students of the difference between this and that . Point to an object close to me and ask What’s this Then point to an object far from me and ask What’s that Use the same objects ,demonstrate near and far and sayingThis—is near .That—is far . Play the audiotape as the students follow in their books . Play “What’s Missing” Repeat near and far with the students a few times as I point . Play the audiotape as the students follow in their books . Divide the class into small groups. Give each group a toy .Eeah student takes a turn to position the object somewhere and asks Where’s____ The other students make a statement about the object’s placement . 把我的自行车搬到教室,直观教学,学生热情很高,效果较好。这说明英语教学中应尽可能用实物辅助教学,便于学生形成直观、深刻的印象和激发学习兴趣。练习初时,让学生替换部分内容,有些吃力。经教师引导及反复练习,有所改观。说明对以前所学知识掌握不太扎实,以后应适时多加练习。
