Step 1.Organizing the teaching1.Greetings2.Sing an English song “In The Bathroom”Step 2. Revision Review clothes the students have mastered and other vocabulary with “Dress up” . The Ss have mastered the following clothing words: jeans,skirt, blouse, hat, pants, sweater, shoes, socks, jacket and glasses.Step 3.Key concepts: boots umbrella dry wet always sometimes usually never1.Introduce: a.The students are familiar with some of the new vocabulary already, especially “dry” and “wet” “boots”.b.Demonstrate “boots” and “umbrella” with real objects. c.Use No.2 in the student book to introduce“always” “sometimes” “usually” and “never”.Student book: Play the audiotape as the students follow in their books .a.Review the story so far. Liming has come to Canada to stay with Jenny’s family. He has learned about Jenny’s house where are Jenny and Liming going now It is raining or sunny. b.No.3 mentions “school bus” “bus stop ” and “bus driver”.The students know about most of these words individually. What do they think they mean 3.Practice: a.Divide the class into small groups. Ask each group to make up a dialogue about “clean” “dirty” “wash” and “dry”. b.Play“Never”and “Opposites” to practice the new vocabulary:wet, dry, umbrella and boots.c.Play “Opposites” to review the new vocabulary “clean” “dirty” “wash” and “dry”.
