二、 Presentation.
1、 Learn the sentences. Listen and say.
Use hand gestures to convey the meaning of each command. Say each command a few times and have children listen and follow the command.
T: Take out your book, please.
Open your book, please.
S1: Open my book. (Do the action.)
T: Close your book, please.
S2: Close my book, please. (Do the action.)
2、Practice.
With children sitting down and books closed, say the following commands and have children follow each one.
T (S1):Girls, open your books.
Boys, stand up.
Girls, close your books.
Boys, sit down.
Girls, sit down.
Boys, close your books.
2、 Listen and act.
Give instructions and let children do it in groups.

At first, read the words to the children, then read them after the teacher. Listen to the tape. Sing after the tape.

通过指令，让学生听、做动作、手势等表示语言，反复听说，使学生听懂，会用动作表示听到的句型，这样学生学得轻松，容易理解、掌握。培养了学生动手操作的能力，采用学唱歌，边唱边拿起歌词唱到的单词实物，让学生能够识记这些学习用具单词，并学到歌曲中的节奏、曲调。

二、Presentation.
1、 Look at the picture. Listen and say.
This is an elephant. (Point to the picture of an elephant.)
An elephant can walk. (Do the action.)
2、 Practice. Then check up on every pupil.
3、 Point to the picture. Listen and say. Repeat the procedure above for the word “egg”.
This is an egg.
An egg can roll.
4、 Practice.
5、 Check up on every group.
6、 Do the same with the word “ fish” and “frog”.
This is a frog.
A frog can jump.
This is a fish.
A fish can swim.
7、 Practice.
8、 Check up on every group or every pupil.
9、 Say the rhyme.
Read the rhyme to the children. Explain the main idea of the rhyme to the students.
10、Play the tape for the whole rhyme. Play the tape again, and have children join in, encouraging them to clap to keep the rhythm. Do the actions and ask children to act it out.
11、Trace and say in groups. (Student Activity Book page 23.)
12、Check up on every group.
