教学目标:
1. Enable students to master the new words and phrases of this unit;
2. enable students to master the new sentence structures: can you….;
3. make sure students speak English as much as they can;
4. enable students enjoy themselves during the course.

The new words, phrases and sentence structure.
教学难点:
Enable students dare to speak English.
教学工具:
课件,单词卡片,录音机等等。
教学过程:
T: Hello, everyone. Nice to see you. First let’s sing a song. ‘Row, row, row your boat’. If I clap very slow, you sing slow. If I clap very fast, you sing very fast. Understand
Ss: Yeah!
T: Ok! Row, row, row your boat. One, two, go.
(Ss sing three times with the teacher. Speed: medium-slow-fast)
T: Excellent! You sing very well. And, do you know these words
Ss: Sing.
T: Can you say the words and do the actions
Ss: Yes!
T: Now. (Show the pictures)
Ss: Sing. (And do the actions.)
T: This one
Ss: Draw.
T: You’re very good. How about this one
Ss: Cook.
T: Next
Ss: Read. Swim.
T: The last one is
Ss: Fly.
T: Boys and girls, let’s play a game. And I need two volunteers to come here. Who wants to try
S1,2: I can.
(Play listen and touch.)
T: If you hear the words, you try your best to touch it. No 1, Read. No2, Cook. S1 has 3 cards and S2 has 2. Who’s the winner
Ss: S1.
T: Yeah! Understand
Ss: Yeah!
T: Thank you! Now everybody, you can pick one that you hear. Now take out these (Ss’ cards). Ok Are you ready
Ss: Yes! No!
T: Please be quick! No 1, fly. No 2, sing. No 3, read, No 4, draw. No 5, swim. Who’s the winner
Ss: Oh, yeah!
T: Yeah, ok, very good! Now put down your own cards and put them on the desk, ok Put them on the desk, ok (Pick up five pictures, only left the picture ‘sing’) What is it (Point to the word)
Ss: Sing!
T: I know everybody can sing very e here, please sing a song for everybody.
S3: (come to the front and sing ‘Edelweiss’)
T: Excellent! Hey, this boy! Can you sing
S4: Yes, I can.
T: (T writes the pattern drills on the blackboard.)
Ss: (Read one by one)
T: OK, very good! Can you sing Yes, I can. Please ask me some questions Look! (Show the picture ‘need’)
Ss: Read!
T: Use read, to ask me please!
Ss: Can you read
T: Yes, I can. (Show the card ‘fly’)
Ss: Can you fly
T: No, I can’t. (Write it on the blackboard.) No, I can’t. No, I can’t.
Ss: No, I can’t.
T: Can’t. (Read twice)
Ss: Can’t.
T: No, I can’t. (twice)
Ss: No, I can’t.
T: Can you fly
Ss: No, I can’t.
T: Hey, when you answer: Yes, I can. Please stand up and read. When you answer: No, I can’t. Please sit down and say it. Understand
Ss: Yes!
T: OK! Can you draw
Ss: Yes, I can. (Stand and say)
T: Can you read
Ss: Yes, I can.
T: One student come here to take place of me!
S5: Can you swim
Ss: Yes, I can.
S5: Can you cook
Ss: Yes, I can.
S5: Can you fly
Ss: No, I can’t.
T: Thank you. Very good. Excellent. Look! Here is a dice and there is a big dice (box). Who can throw it
Ss: I can.
T: Oh, the boy, please. You throw it. No 4, can you sing
S6: Yes, I can.
T: Ask me! Can you ~
S6: Can you swim
T: Yes, I can. Understand
Ss: Yes!
T: Everybody, open your teaching material, page 19. Look at the picture here and use your small dice. Just practice in pairs. Understand Can you ~ Begin!
Ss: (Talk about it with music.) (After a few minutes.)
T: Hey! One group comes here Oh, you two please! ( Throw the dice and talk about it.)
S7: Can you draw
S8: Yes, I can.
T: No 4. (Look at the dice.)
S1: Can you swim
S2: Yes, I can.
T: No 3!
S1: Can you cook
S2: Yes, I can.
S1: Can you read
S2: Yes, I can.
T: Very good! Thank you. Just now, look! Go-go is No 3. Go-go is very happy. Do you know Go-go
Ss: Yes!
T: Do you want to know what Go-go can do What can Go-go do (Repeat twice) (Choose 2 pupils to come to the front to act as Go-go and Tony) ( T acts out the dialogue)
T: Now, please look and listen. And Tony is reading a book.
Go-g Can you read
Tony: Yes, I can. Can you read
Go-g No, I can’t.
Tony: Can you sing
Go-g Yes, I can.
Tony: OK! Let’s sing!
Go-g Yeah! Let’s sing! Ah ah aaa…..
Tony: No, no, Go-go! No!
T: Do you understand it
Ss: Yeah!
T: (To the ‘actors’) Thank you! Go back to your seat! Let’s listen again, OK Before listening, there are two questions: Question 1: Can Go-go read Question 2: Can Tony read OK! Listen! (Listen to the tape-recorder)
T: Can Go-go read
Ss: No, he can’t.
T: Can Tony read
Ss: Yes! Yes, he can.
T: Yes, he can. Everybody, open your teaching material at page 15. And we listen again, this time we try to follow the tape in low voice.
Ss: (Read after the tape-recorder.)
T: OK, now let’s read. One is Tony, one is Go-go. Begin!
Ss: (Read in pairs.)
T: Brave boys and brave girls, who can come here Come on!
S1,S2: (Read in pairs before others)
T: Another group. (S3, S4 read.)
T: OK! Now, Go-go and Tony are tired. They want to play a game. Now you know these animals
Ss: Yes! (Say out the animal names)
T: Now, I want to be one kind of animal. Let’s guess. What am I Ready I can’t run. I can’t climb up the trees. I can’t cook. But I can fly. I can sing. What am I
Ss: Bird!
T: Yes, you are very good. I’m a bird. Now, group leaders come here. Group leaders will choose one kind of animals and then your group will try to describe this animal. I can ~. I can’t ~. Let other group guess what you are. Be quick. OK, go back! Keep it a secret.
Ss: ( Talk about I in groups.)
T: Please be ready! Hey, are you ready
Ss: Yes!
(One group come to the front and report it, then another group report it. )
T: Now, listen to a chant. OK
Chant: Can you fly No, I can’t….
T: One more time. (listen again) OK, everybody, stand up. You can use it (tools) to follow it.
Ss: (Act and try to say it)
T: And I know you know many verbs. And you can change the verbs. You can say: can you fly No, I can’t. Can you read Yes, I can. I can read. Understand
Ss: Yes!
T: Of course you can say: Can you draw Can you swim Yes, I can. OK! Now, can you fly No, I can’t. Understand
Ss: (Talk about it. Change words.)
(Listen again the chant!)
T: You can say: I can.… Oh, group 4, you can try OK!
T: Everybody, you can say. Good!
T: Which group is the winner Everybody can do the exercise. It’s in the teaching material. Now, I should say goodbye to everybody. Goodbye, everybody!
Ss: Goodbye, teacher!
