教学过程:
Step 1 : Class opening and Review
1、Review weather objectives using the cards . The students mastered in Level 4 : rainy sunny snowy cloudy windy cold hot cool inside outside
2. Ask the students to look out of the window and describe the weather :
How’s the weather
It’s ……..
Is it Yes/No , it’s…… .
Step2.Teacher shows some pictures about the weather to review : rainy sunny snowy cloudy windy cold hot cool inside outside
T: Look at the picture .:How is the weather
15℃ 25℃ 5℃
S1: It`s rainy. S2: It`s cloudy. S3: It`s snowy.
30℃ 20℃
S4: It`s sunny. S5: It`s windy.
Step 3:Presentation and practice
1、Teaching the words “ temperature ” “ degree ”
1) Demonstrate “ temperature ” with a real thermometer .
Put the thermometer in a cup of cold water and then a cup of hot water as you say phrases such as :
The water is hot/cold .
What’s the temperature of the water
It’s degree .
2) Point to “ temperature ” “ degree ” say it please .
3) Read one by one .
4) Practice ::teacher points to pictures and asks:
T: What’s the temperature
Ss: It’s degrees ..
Step4:learn part1
1.let the students listen to the tape with the following questures: 1.how is the weather today
2. what′s the temperature outside
3. what′s the temperature inside
2.teacher check the answers.
3. Practice a group of five students.
Step 5 Homework
